Quick and Easy

This is a really great product! I use it every yr
What's great about it: I got it done in a few hours
What's not so great: still needs some better explanations of what things mean
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Charged Return Filing

I love using Turbo tax and look forward to it each year. I used to prepare my taxes manually, but this software prevents addition and subtraction errors, and calls your attention to special life situations to get the most for your refund.
What's great about it: Love the walk through version of software with option to edit sections you wished to.
What's not so great: We had issues with the Disk we purchased, but your online help was able to send us a version we could use.

Some ups and downs

Previously I didn't experience any problems with downloading and entry of Scottrade information but this year there was some entry that seemed to duplicate what could have been entered directly from Scottrade Down load
What's great about it: Transferring information from last yeaar
What's not so great: Had difficulty with K-1 entries for securities

Turbo Tax 2013

I did not need forms that were transferred from the prior year and it was a hassle for me to search for a way to delete. Just simplify this process.

Solid product

Everything was great but I felt like the business section was the greatest. It felt like the explanations for where to put expenses were lacking and when I input certain things (such as home business, amortize option, etc) that it didn't properly account for my inputs and still had me input things I didn't need to during the error check. Last of all the state portion had an error for the state of OH! It asked me a question at one point (dealing with percentage of federal student loan tax deduction in my wife's name) but didn't give a place to input the answer!
Overall still a great product and couldn't have done my taxes without it (which is sad our tax law is so complicated). Oh and I also wish it would recognize the scroll wheel on my mouse.
What's great about it: Everything not in con's
What's not so great: some aspects of business and state (OH)

Much better telephone support this year than last!

Last year every time I needed telephone support I was on the phone interminably! I said so in my review. Had far less need to call this year but no wait time lasted longer than a few minutes before I was able to talk with a live person. Good job, TurboTax!!
