Great support for Federal/moderate for State

The federal interview and guides have become so great and solid over the years that we are spoiled when there aren't the same level of pro-tips, links for more info, or links to instructions on the state level. Sure, I know why it's not there, because it's difficult to do that for all the states, as they are so different. The interview itself and the calculations for state appear to be correct, from what I can tell, but I don't understand enough about my own state's taxes, to say for sure....as I'm new to this state, and need that extra help that I've come to expect from the federal interview. Please focus on making the state guides as robust as the federal in the coming years.

On the whole was easier this year Possibly because I did it on time
What's great about it: seemed simpler this year
What's not so great: there was some repeated questions and filling out certain numbers

TTax, YOU HAVE A LOT OF WORK TO DO!

Using TTax this year was hugely frustrating. Either the Gov't. has made taxes a lot more complicated this year, or TTax had to scurry to get the program out with lots of changes, or both, and therefore didn't even come close to the smooth, easy tax prep experienced in previous years.
Your form 8829 computations have at least one error in your program, that I fussed over for 2 days, getting nowhere (Steve with Intuit fixed my problem with it but your error still is present- and you by gosh better not charge me for that call because it was clearly your error).
In many other places, TTax just didn't take the time to make finding things easy for us preparers.
You only get a "3 out of 10" recommendation this year!

Makes filing taxes pretty easy and comfortable

Overall TurboTax is easy to use and very accurate. Some deductions are overlooked for the home based business so have to go back and enter manually. The review process shows they are appropriate.
Have been using TurboTax for over ten years so starting new returns is easy as it picks up previous years return to show comparison. This helps to catch and review deductions that are very different or missed.
What's great about it: Step by Step guides & side by side comparison to previous year
What's not so great: Occasionally misses some business deductions

Every Year TURBO

Turbo makes home and small business a breeze. Everything is imported from the previous years. Depreciation, etc. is calculated from me from my inputs. Correct forms are automatically used. Checks and review of the forms catch things so that they are correct. It makes taxes so much easier!! Electronic filing is so easy!!
What's great about it: Brings in everything from last year
What's not so great: nothing

I have used turbotax for many years. I did go to taxcut, ut came running back to turbotax. was disappointed when the state tax return that I bought did not include efiling. boo. In years past, you had more explanation for different expenses. I missed that this year. It was easy to connect to tax consultant as you advertised. all in all....I will be back next year.
What's great about it: easy and asked me about details that I wouldn't thought of
What's not so great: buying state did not get me free efile..on some items more explanation needed
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved
