Good but needs fixing
on April 11, 2014

I liked using TurboTax, but I have to file a yearly attachment with my federal return (electing to defer a Canadian pension). Because TurboTax doesn't allow a text box or word doc attachment, I can't e-file. Lame! Otherwise it'd be perfect.
What's great about it: automatically selects and fills forms
What's not so great: doesn't allow attachments

Disappointed

After using turbotax for years, I probably won't use it again. Lots of trouble getting updates, supposed to get a free state return, but kept asking me to pay for my California return. Still haven't been able to do state return, may have to go to a tax preparer. Spent many hours entering and re-entering data.Terrible instructiolns for gettingupdates. Clicked Get solutions , and got an endless circle that never ended and wouldn't go away unless I logged off.
What's great about it: deductions I didn't know about
What's not so great: updates, state return, crummy solutilns button

This product functions okay to a point. The e-filing at the end does not work well and leaves with with poor options.
What's great about it: data entry is clean and well guided
What's not so great: For the second year in a row Tubotax allowed me to enter all my credit card info and charged me and then failed to e-fil

Another great year with TurboTax

My return requires an explanation for dividing a retirement as specified in a divorce settlement. I have to mail in partial copies of the divorce papers every year. This prevents me from e-filing. Why is there not some way to attach PDF documents to the e-file? TurboTax has a better chance to convince IRS of this need than I have.
What's great about it: Importing from the previous year is helpful. The step-by-step guide is thorough.
What's not so great: There is no way to e-file the supporting documents I need.

Couldn't be Easier

Turbo Tax had made my life much easier. I sold my last home during 2013 and was unaware of the newest tax laws regarding the sale of a primary home. With Turbo Tax, reporting the sale and guidance through the tax inquiries was effortless and saved me thousands of dollars. Turbo Tax is very informative and easy to use.
What's great about it: Ease of Loading and following tax prompts
Pros: I moved

did my daughter's taxes using home and business . it combined fed tax withheld and medicare tax withheld resulting into her getting more refund than the one she got using deluxe where the medicare tax withheld was not combined with fed tax withheld as well not used for refund calculation
we wondered why so???
the difference in refund was exact amount of the medicare tax withheld
any explanation???
What's great about it: very much user friendly
What's not so great: none so far

Can only say good things about your product - I do not know how I would complete my return without it.
What's great about it: Have used TurboTax since rev one and has gotten better each year.
What's not so great: Want to be able to snap shot any page and print or save on the spot.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
