Always reliable

I have used this every year for at least the last 10 years. Better than any tax professional that I've been to. Since I have time to put my information into the program I get the best refunds than I ever did with a CPA in a 1 hour appointment.
What's great about it: easy to use, easy to understand, work on it when you want at your convenience
What's not so great: I can't think of one!!

I would not have known I didn't have current version of software if one of the items was not marked as waiting for an update to be released (state sales tax). Fairly easy to use, but did not understand some of the questions.
What's great about it: looked for deductions was fairly straight forward.
What's not so great: Did not do an automatic update or check for updates when installed.

Another easy tax year w/ TurboTax Home & Business!

I have used Turbo Tax for Home and Business as long as I can remember. It never fails to make the tax reporting process easy and stress-free!
What's great about it: Same easy/informative user interface as prior years
What's not so great: None that I can think of...

Ineffective error checking

I was prevented from efiling for days to figure out an "error" in Form 4562 line 13 "Carryover of disallowed deduction to 2013." 2013 TurboTax reported carryover from 2012 to 2013 but insisted a calculation error in 2012 Form 4562. Apparently, the 2012 return passed review and error checking only to be singled out in 2013 return -- an example of poor algorithm. Why did the 2012 error checking routine overlooked the accuracy in the first place? I did not enter these numbers in error. TurboTax did the calculations.
What's great about it: Smooth interview approach
What's not so great: Lacking correlation with previous year's return

I am independent contractor working as a courier. All I had to do was answer the questions and Turbo Tax did the rest. It sure has saved me a lot of headaches. I have used Turbo Tax for 15 years and wouldn't consider using any other such service.
What's great about it: Just answered the questions
What's not so great: Increase in price.
