Wonderful Software

I have been using TurboTax for several years, even back when it was DOS based. I love this product, and would recommend it to everyone. My son and daughter in-law use it based on my recommendation.
What's great about it: Easy to use, step by step consultation
What's not so great: Can't think of any

Excellent program

Have used TTax for over 30 years and has never failed me. I love it tracking of year to year carryover items. Only thing I would really like is after you have filed your taxes, be able to put TTax into next year mode, with the projected tax brackets and deductions, etc. What if feature is OK, but would rather be able to use all the forms for projections. Quicken does it better that TTax.
What's great about it: Accurate, easy to use, good explanations
What's not so great: No next year mode other that What if

2013 Turbo Tax

When I got to my second rental prpoerty it did not bring over my 2012 information (Depreciation, etc.)
What's great about it: All eares were covered
What's not so great: Multiple rental prpoerties

Turbo Tax Experience

This year's experience with Turbo Tax was my best to date after utilizing it for 5 years now. The ability to have it walk you through each detail and with options to explain what you are looking at is a great help. I especially like how it explains where you can find information regarding almost anything you need more help on. This year I didn't need to switch to "Forms" to correct any issues that came up during the reveiw. There was a box I could enter the information in and make the change automatically. Very happy with the results even though I still had to pay.
What's great about it: Easy to Follow and Understand
What's not so great: None come to mind

Turbo Tax 2013

I'm very glad this software is available as doing my taxes manually or paying hundreds of dollars to have them done isn't the best option. Plus the comfort of knowing you can buy defense protection for your return if audited is very nice.
What's great about it: Very professional software; keeps getting better each year

Software Problems

I have had more problems with Turbo Tax this year than I have had over the last 15 years using Turbo Tax. It pre-picked "efile" and will not let me change it to "send in by mail." Why? I entered all my noncash donations into Itsdeductible and they have not been transferred to TurboTax. Why? Today, I will try entering them again. It is bad enough that those of us who pay taxes, have to work for the government to complete these forms for many many hours to have the whole thing compounded with a defective version of TurboTax.
What's great about it: Great product if it is properly debugged
What's not so great: Problems with Efile, problems with Itsdeductible, frustrating to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
