Over all a good experience. I completed the most complex return so far. Self Employed income, sold and bought residence and moved from one state to another. I was able to complete Federal and both states in one sitting.
What's great about it: Thorough and user friendly with lot of help information
What's not so great: No information until later that the prior state should be filled out first.
Used this last year and was so pleased with the ease that we used it again this year. Used a tax service in previous years and ended up with stolen ID issues.
I like to go back when I am done and step through the entire process to be sure I entered all the data correctly. When I do this by going through the Q&A it is too easy to change an answer inadvertently. I wish there was a feature that let you go back through the Q&A just clicking a NEXT button and making the user acknowledge any change in answers.
What's great about it: The step by step Q&A format makes completing taxes a breeze.
What's not so great: Reviewing for accuracy can introduce errors.
This tax package is easy, quick, and accurate. If you can keep your tax forms and do simple addition, you can file your taxes, even for a small business.
What's great about it: If you can type, you can file.
What's not so great: Still a little complex with respect to trusts.
I completed my return over multiple sessions in the course of a couple weeks and really appreciated being brought back up to speed each time I pulled my return back up. The session management is extraordinarily intuitive in general.
What's great about it: Easy to complete over multiple sessions
What's not so great: Didn't get me a million dollars back (not that I paid that in...)
