Turbo-Tax is generally good for entering the needed information and I have continued to use it for several years now. However, the search mechanism is very simplistic and therefore not very useful to me. Go-backs are very frustrating for 2 reasons: they usually require navigation through the entire section to get to the desired item; also, I was unable to return to the estimated tax selection dialogue, and then was caught in a loop where the program kept returning to the start of the review section when continue was selected at the end of the review. The only way out was to go to "file" at that point.
What's great about it: Simplifies entries
What's not so great: Difficult go-backs and unnecessary prolonged walk-throughs
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

TurboTax takes the complexity and absurdity of US Tax Laws and puts them into a format we can all work with. You feel confident that nothing got left on the table with TurboTax. In a phrase, it's Peace of Mind.
What's great about it: Easy, intuitive and straightforward.
What's not so great: None come to mind.
Pros: I moved, My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Submitting to Federal Fleecing with Confidence

Having done tax returns since I got my first paycheck and W-2 from a McDonalds, I sort of like seeing how the actual return looks as I finish each section. Also, I would like to see a section at the top that shows how what I just input affects my 'Standard Deduction' in Turbo Tax....like the number affects my Tax Refund or Tax Due in Turbo Tax now.
What's great about it: Getting it done confidently at a reasonable costs
What's not so great: I like seeing how the actual return looks as I finish each section.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overall, this was the best tax experience I've had with Turbo Tax, even though I had to pay a bit this year. Very clear information, Easy to understand and enter the correct data. Taxes are no fun but at least with Turbo Tax it wasn't the miserable experience it might have been. And, I know Turbo Tax helps me avoid dumb errors that would result in an inaccurate return.
What's great about it: Quick, intuitive, easy, accurate, safe
What's not so great: Sometimes tough to find a specific entry or area, eg, business expenses

Some improvements needed

1. we should be able to a save-as at any time
2. data selected should not be 'null' when you go back to that 'tab'
3. I couldn't enter my prior year's Turbo Tax return via Turbo Tax... it keeps requesting that I open with current year's version.
4. when I get an 'error' during the review, although it takes you to the form, it doesn't take you to the section where you can update.
5. unless you know a bit about taxes, it's not the most intuitive
What's great about it: good navigation
What's not so great: Several improvements needed

I have all my Turbo Tax disks, starting in 2002 which means I've been using TT since then. So far, no problems, no errors. Programs always work smoothly and logically. This is the first time I've never had to go back and overwrite or remove a field in any of the forms so it's gotten even more idiot-proof <g>.
What's great about it: Transfer info from previous returns, step by step guide
What's not so great: Need to save results to cloud in case of computer foul-up

Had three w-9 from same employer and had to type in employer ID and all their information each time... wish it would have known by placing same employer ID that it was same contact info.
What's great about it: asked right questions and good review at the end for things missed
What's not so great: Fed skipped lines on schedule C, K1 for state was missing information/numb sequence and retype employer info 3x
Pros: I had a baby
