Awesome as always! Another easy return!

I have been using Turbo Tax for over 15 years and each year the software continues to improve! I would not use any other tax software.

HAVE USED TURBO TAX FOR YEARS, USE TO LOVE IT

I made a mistake on business use of car. TT generated a form which I was never able to correct or remove, resulting in my inability to e-file my return for the first time in 7 years.

What's not so great: DIFFICULT OR IMPOSSIBLE TO CORRECT MISTAKES

Disappointed

I've used Turbo Tax for over ten years. This year was very disappointing. First, my filing was delayed a couple of weeks due to "a transient server" issue which told me forms were not available when in fact they were. Second, when I submitted my returns for efiling it stopped at the validation step and said it could not file because TurboTax needed additional updates. There were no updates available. I had to do some research on the internet to find potential "work arounds". Finally restarting my Mac and reopening TurboTax allowed me to file electronically.

Great tax tool!

I have been using TurboTax for decades now. I would never do my taxes without this software. I have only been audited once and that was because of a mistake I made concerning some stocks that I sold. When I did get audited the audit protection helped me get right with the IRS in the best way possible.
I am a fan of TurboTax and would urge everyone to use this software.
What's great about it: Guided through the process; fast; easy to understand; easy to use.
What's not so great: None.

Some of the steps are not transparent. This made completing the Missouri tax form much more understandable.
What's great about it: Q&A approach, ability to access other files
What's not so great: lot of data entry for 1099s

I do like like how turbotax tries so hard to get the user to pay the efile fee for state taxes. This should be included in cost. Also program problems that prevent me from using federal efile claim employer state ID number is incorrect when it fact it is correct.Because of this defect I had to print out my federal taxes and mail. I can see by all questions submitted to turbotax that many other people had the same problem. After three years of using turbotax I will not buy it again

This is my sixth year of doing my taxes with Turbotax on this computer, but my first one filing self-employed. Turbotax walked me through the income and allowable deductions with ease. I didn't have to worry about what I could and could not include, everything was well explained. I will continue using Turbotax in the future.
What's great about it: walked through the business portions with ease (my first business filing) very easy like every year I have used turbotax
What's not so great: additional cost to e-file state return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
