I have used this program for many years and enjoy the continuity of approach, simplicity and clarity of its approach. It almost makes the process of paying my taxes palatable!
What's great about it: Consitent format and simplicity every year
What's not so great: Still pay too much to the Government!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
Over the past six years, I keep learning a great deal using Turbo tax. The questions guide me though the details in a reasonable fashion. The only part that I do not have down is getting all the documentation together before I start Turbo tax. However, with the internet I can usually find W-2 etc forms quickly. This access speeds up my experience.
The ease of use is the strongest feature of Turbo tax. I have had occasional problems getting though some of the edits, but it is usually because I did not understand some item.
Thank you for an enjoyable experience. The price is reasonable. If there was a checklist of forms or documents, I might do better.
What's great about it: clear, concise, and helpful
What's not so great: needs checklist for documents needed
I faithfully use TurboTax every year. Without it I don't know what I would do. I still get a little confused on some areas, i.e., tuition payment, scholarships, etc., but I manage.
What's great about it: Easy to use!
What's not so great: Although improving in explaining terminology for laymen, there is still room for growth.
It's a joy to use turbotax. Although I am an accountant, the software makes life easier for me. I could create my own form as I did 20 plus years ago, but turbotax makes things easier these days.
I don't even remember how many years I have been filing with turbotax. Years ago I consulted with a friend who did tax prep about turbotax, he told me that it was every bit as good as the professional program that he used.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
I use the Turbo Tax Home and Business for myself and I volunteer to do elderly in laws business/farm taxes for low income. The TT program makes the preparation much less complicated than it has been, so thanks TT. Only minor tweak is that TT program needs better programming to help users calculate Net Operating Loss. That can be a big complicated labyrinth. I like being able to review answers to similar questions others have already posted on the community portion of TT site. It really helped me out.
What's great about it: Ease of use, helpful tips, helpful resources for more questions
