Thanks Again Turbo Tax!

I'm always impressed with Turbo Tax because it's like having a tax consultant and an accountant helping you step by step through the tax forms.
I especially like the way Turbo Tax helps guide me through the tax laws, pointing out changes, options available, and then recommends the best solutions for my specific tax situation.
I also appreciate how Turbo Tax helps me plan for next year. And it's awesome how Turbo Tax saves information from previous years and transfers all that information over for next year! Beautiful!!!
Thank you Turbo Tax!
I'll always rely on Turbo Tax to get my taxes done right!!!

What's great about it: Turbo Tax helps ensure all income and deuctions are added into the proper forms!
What's not so great: Sometimes when trying to enter updates Turbo Tax tries to make you keep re-entering a whole section.

TurboTax 2013 vs. TaxCut
on April 13, 2014

Pro: handled K-1 details better than TaxCut.
Con: UNRELIABLE - kept LOSING DATA - it kept "forgetting" values every time I went back to the same interview point (i.e. I entered them once, moved on, went back to a previous point in the interview, and the values were GONE - REPEATEDLY - what would happen if I forgot to re-enter something I had already entered? Intuit would be LIABLE).
So it took longer to go through the interview than TaxCut. TaxCut was 100% reliable.
It didn't let me pay some points in current year, and amortize the others (on a re-fi for home improvement).
Charitable donations: it didn't ask for the address when I entered the value, when I already had the information out!! Poor flow design.
It asked for property tax, so I put in car taxes (considered personal property in many states), then asked for it AGAIN later in Deductions!
1099-G: it didn't require for state or state ID# (10a/b)
What's great about it: Better handling of K-1
What's not so great: Loses data
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

found clitches

a filing error came up with with "dtdate was estimated" or something close to this and it took me some time to figure out what it, was referring to.
a few step by step question would have the radio button for me or spouse or both but have no description associated with it just the three buttons.
A number of times I would click the mouse and the program would jump two pages or so ahead.
Had to call a sales rep to get state filed. would not accept credit card online.
For the price of Home & Business I would assume theses items would have been fixed.
Long time use but this year the software was not up to my expectation.

Oce you say "No, to the "Create a Turbo Tax account, it still asks questions. You should go directly to take the credit card information instead of asking other details.

Doing taxes was (kinda) fun this year with Turbo Tax. I'd been using a preparer for years, but this year I decided to go it alone!
What's great about it: Gave me confidence to tackle my own taxes again!
What's not so great: Nothing that really bothered me.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
