Taxes Again???

Using this product year after year is so easy. Data is imported with an opportunity to correct changed information. Each year it seems to get better and better.
What's great about it: Easy, good explanations, complete
What's not so great: cost
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Gets a little worse each year

Every tax return I have ever filed is with Turbo Tax! So Clearly I like the program. BUT it is the attention to detail that is getting worse.
For example, how come when you are importing from your brokerage house, the import button is Just off the screen and requires you to scroll? There is TONs of employ space. They could have laid out the screen better. Or on the same screen, with Schwab (Very common) the account number is cut off to you can't tall which account is which. You have to hit details for each one. Again, TONs of extra space on the line to show these details. And while we are at, "eTrade" can't be found...Because according to Turbo Tax is it "e*Trade". Google, Bing, Yahoo and even eTrade thing that "eTrade" is good too! So that was Just one screen. Many, many screens have minor UI design issues like these. Basically the product is deteriorating year over year.
So my advise...Make usability of this product important, not just the accuracy.
What's great about it: Easy to purchase and my taxes are done Right!
What's not so great: The UI gets worse and worse, harder and hard to use.

Easy gliding through business

What a relief to use turbo tax. in past I reviewed IRS forms and publications to maximize business/personal deduction. Turbo Tax made it easy going with their format.
What's great about it: easy to review and correct entries
What's not so great: couldn't easily navigate support web page for help and support phone when locked out of my account.

Complex made simple

Each year filing can get more cumbersome and tedious and we really rebelled against going to the fee for services tax preparers. Gone to Turbo Tax - it takes the trepidation out of the process!
What's great about it: Software is more intuitive year to year

Not so scary business taxes worried for nothing

Wish you had more examples. i.e. if a couple earns $ and has a child in college it would best best if they did______ and so on. Just some insight of examples.
What's great about it: First time doing taxes for my business was easier then I anticpated
What's not so great: Still apprehensive about answering the questions.

Let's Step it Up, Intuit

I've been using TurboTax for 10+ years, so it's a given that I'm giving it 3 stars or better. And for many years TurboTax made doing my taxes much less painful than it otherwise would be (though some tax pain just cannot be removed!)
However this year I have two main issues with TurboTax. The first is that required federal forms did not become available until late February. Ideally I'd have my return completed and refund requested in early Feb, so this was holding me back several weeks. In addition, I had to keep checking back to find out whether the forms were ready -- not a great weekend activity.
The second beef is something Intuit can easily fix. That is the slowness of the app. My computer is not getting faster, and the federal tax forms are not getting much, much longer. But TurboTax is getting much slower on the same computer. Intuit -- please take some time to make the app smaller and faster.
What's great about it: completeness, covers so many tax forms
What's not so great: final forms not ready until late Feb, slow to load and run
