2013 amended return

IRS wrote me about my 2012 taxes saying I failed to include our social security earnings. finished 2013 return, filed and accepted. realized I didn't include ss again. went back reviewing entries and was unable to find any queue to enter ss. had to type in form ssa-1099 to get info. did not seem to affect my refund this year.
also had to call tech support to get me out of a three error report loop that never found any errors. 104933

What's great about it: simplifies complicated tax laws
What's not so great: did not tell me to include form ssa-1099

Entry of tax document data

It seems when I start my return every year I always am missing something and don't find out about it until I am in the middle of entry. Would be nice if I could enter data off of the more common tax documents first (i.e 1099's, DIV, INT W2, list of donations, etc) and have those entries automatically picked up as I reach that section of my turbotax entries.
Another suggestion is to have a checklist that appears first based on last return called "Do you have this information ready?".

The down load information from the website basis information was not consistent with the 1099 printed information. Turbo tax failed to flag a very low basis number $18 for a $5000 sale.
It would be useful for Turbo tax to look for such situtations.

Great product
What's great about it: Inquiries in every possible income or deduction with the ability to add various tax shelter amounts

What's great about it: Easy to use, great tools

Liked best the ability to import 1099 data direct; puts the information in the correct spots and reduces errors....
What's great about it: Easy to use; read carefully and fill-in the blanks, 1, 2, 3, etc.
What's not so great: None

Geat product makes even a complex return easy

I have used TurboTax for as long as I can remember (back to original Windows days). It just keeps getting better. And with e-filing, it's smooth and easy.
What's great about it: Walk through great. Covers topics I would not have thought of
What's not so great: Program does not recognize that Texas does not have ncome tax.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
