I have used Turbotax for a number of years now and continue to be amazed at the speed and efficiency of its operation. It is clear that much effort has been put into "perfecting" the functionality of this software.
My only complaint is that some of the detailed instructions (for example, for an excess IRA contribution that I had) were not as clear as they might have been. After reading same, I was still left with a "what do I do know?" situation.
I strongly recommend Turbotax to my family and friends.
What's great about it: Very fast and eficient
What's not so great: A few of the detailed instructions were not as clear as they might have been

Needs improvement on Additional Medicare Tax

More clarity on the process of calculating the additional Medicare tax would have been helpful. My employer withheld an amount that was close to the calculated total liability. Turbo Tax added the extra withholding to my FIT, then calculated the additional Medicare tax as a gross amount. It would have saved me time and heartburn if that calculation had been detailed as I worked through the program.
What's great about it: still very easy to navigate and very thorough

Good but needs improvement

2013 Home and Office - I had to go back in and correct an entry in a saved (but not filed) return and could not do so. Clicking on the button to edit the entry did nothing. After an hour trying to figure out how to work around this issue, I had to start from scratch and reenter all data, which took me another hour. These extra hours were not enjoyable.
What's great about it: ease of use
What's not so great: bugs in program

Excellent Help with a Challenging Return

I had a challenging Foreign Tax Credit situation that required some in-depth knowledge. I couldn't make sense of the IRS documentation on this subject and TurboTax phone support was excellent and helped me cut to the chase and avoid some of the pitfalls. I'm very impressed with the quality of people working at TurboTax. I especially like the part of the service where the phone support staff had the ability to view my screen -- a huge time-saver. Overall it was a great experience. I'm a TurboTax customer for life!
What's great about it: Very patient and helpful phone support
What's not so great: TurboTax didn't complete some of the forms properly

Headache Free Refund!

I really didn't like to do my taxes, but with Turbo Tax, it is so much easier, they take my taxes from last year and transfer everything I need to this years tax forms. I don't have to spend hours writing everything down, or the math! And I didn't know about some of the things I could deduct to help me get more of my money back. And next year, it will be as easy as it was this year! I love Turbo Tax! It is headache free for me, and the hours I save not doing my taxes, I can spend with the family, so everyone is happy I use Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: My information was all transfered for me!
What's not so great: I still have to do my taxes

Quick & Easy

I use Turbo Tax every year because it is easy to understand and makes the whole ordeal simple and easy to digest. Stress-free filing!
What's great about it: step by step procedure makes it easy to understand
What's not so great: doesn't really explain why some "errors" are noted as errors
