It notified me that I had an inconstancy that would have cost me $500.

User friendly and thorough

I've used TurboTax for many years now and really love it. It has a very friendly user interface and walks you through every facet of filing your return(s). Since our return changes very little each year, I really like the way it shows you what you did the previous year, as that helps my feeble mind remember where I should be seeing/making entries for the current year!
What's great about it: Easy to navigate and walked you through every facet of filing taxes.
What's not so great: Had a couple of annoying glitches, although it was nothing that effected the final result

Spouse Name and SSN

When I file as Head of Household, why on the Federal return you have me put my spouse name and SSN, but then on the Minnesota state return, it says cannot override and/or must be blank. I can't electronically file with these errors. So then I go to the Federal return and remove spouse name and SSN (the source of the data) and then finally I can file electronically. This is a big pain! So, I filed, but now I don't if my federal return is correct due to missing the name and SSN of my spouse.
What's great about it: Overall, I like.

I'm a small business owner with limited resources. TurboTax gets my tax forms done for me with without wasting my time checking out unnecessary forms.
What's great about it: concise information in just the right sequence

Struggled with the business return

I really like turbo tax for personal use but the home business aspect of the the program does not walk you through things as easily. It ask some questions that I really had to work at the answers and I did not feel as confident about the results.
What's great about it: steps through each topic
What's not so great: turbo tax assumes you know a lot about business taxes

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2009 and it just gets better every year. It is very smart and truly seeks out every resource to maximize all money that may be entitled to you. I used to pay people to do my taxes and rarely got money back. I do not feel they actually checked everything to maximize my return. They did the minimum work required and took my money like a fast food teller. I do not have to worry about that now as I know that Turbo Tax does "Not" miss a thing. I am very satisfied with this software.
What's great about it: Accurate Personal Tax Accountant year after year.
What's not so great: Cant seem to get the online vault to work at all, but files did transfer from last years save file.
