tweaks, but great program

when working on returns, i come and go on different days, times...i also go back when i need to update info. if i do this several duplicate forms were made which i had to go back and delete because they were not needed and duplicated so i could not file my return.
What's great about it: efile, all forms there for u
What's not so great: if you choose to try deduction, restart later, it creates multiple forms you don't need

Older versions showed you better how to do your taxes, the pop ups to find business code didn't work and in general the product is less and less useful

Overall, another excellent revision to a tried and true software program! The program is super easy to navigate. Being able to go back and forth to see how certain things change the return is great. Because I didn't "restart" the program, from the point when I started my return, at the end I had to check for updates. Initially I thought that it would cause a problem with my return, but in the end it didn't.
What's great about it: Super easy to navigate back and forth through the different topics
What's not so great: Getting updates was not initially intuitive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

IRA Difficulties

The data entry process went quite smoothly. Going back over entries to make corrections went smoothly as well except for the IRA distribution. This process needs improvement as I spent as much time on trying to make corrections as I did on the whole data entry process for the entire tax return.
What's great about it: Able to enter IRA distribution easily.
What's not so great: Unable to change IRA cost basis. Difficult to get to the screen where wrong cost basis was entered.

Fastest way to refund

The greatest feature of TurboTax is the ability to import information about my investments. Without this feature it would be impossible for me to do my own taxes.

Keeping it simple

I've used Turbo Tax for years. It's very user friendly. If there are any additional tax forms I need they are right there.
What's great about it: simple to use. help is right there.
What's not so great: Pricey compared to other programs.
