Easy

Overall I have used Turbo Tax for 3 years and have been pleased with entry text and calculation of refund. Also I like being able to print various pages for manual calculations to see why certain amounts show up in Turbo Tax on various forms so I can be sure I entered correct info in correct spot. Trying to go back and find the calculation sheets took some tax knowledge and could be easier to find. Once found though the corrections were immediate and showed added or lower refund
What's great about it: Detailed, good instructions, helpful info
What's not so great: finding info already entered such as calculations for Social Security taxable income could be easier

It sure beats trying to transalate what the tax forms are saying.

go Turbo Tax!

I would recommend Turbo Tax. I use it for the whole family and it has helped my now adult children learn about doing their taxes.
What's great about it: info transferred from previous year
What's not so great: Switching between "continue" and "yes or no" buttons is confusing. All should be "yes or no"

Confusing

Good for simple small business taxes
What's great about it: did the calculations and did the state taxes for two states
What's not so great: some questions were confusing in the review with no explanation

Have used Turbo TAX for at least 15 years. So easy to use for personal and business!
What's great about it: Very good at complicted rules and form completion
What's not so great: always so many updates keeping up with IRS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Great for Emerging Business

I started up my own LLC last year, and this was the first time I needed to file a return for more than just my own personal income. Suddenly my return went from 4 pages to 72 - yikes!
TurboTax made the process incredibly easy and helped me find the answers to every question I had in order to maximize my deductions and navigate the tax system. Definitely recommend this for small business owners!
What's great about it: Helpful, comprehensive guidance for first-time filing of business taxes.
