Improves each year

Download of investment transactions is extremely helpful and efficient as is the w-2 downloads. Still needs work on AMT as that whole area is confusing to most everyone I know.
What's great about it: Logical interview process
What's not so great: AMT is still confusing as is some of the foreign taxinfo from brokerage accounts.

Easy as pie ;-)

You could know nothing about taxes and TurboTax takes the steps to cover all the issues. If not, the customer service will guide you through everything. The only issue I had, is every year(4 yrs. now) "I" forget my password! Thank you for creating this program, it's a lot cheaper than the "other" places.

What's great about it: easy fast and explains as you go along
What's not so great: kept hanging up on my parents secont state return which didn't apply to me

Better MAC Tax Products

I have an LLC and my wife has her own LLC. It was difficult to get it all in using the home and business product. I really could have used the full business package, but I have MACs at home. I know I could have purchased a PC or use Parallel software to make my MAC accept Windows, but it takes a lot of memory I am not sure my 8 Gig would suffice. Just make them available for MAC. It is hard to transfer data from a MAC to a PC.
What's great about it: My taxes continue to get more complicated, but Turbo Tax helps me sort it all
What's not so great: I could have used the Business Turbo Package, but it is not available for MAC computers.

So easy to use with step-by-step instructions

I have been using TurboTax Home & Business for the past 6 years. I find it very easy to use and much cheaper than when I went to an accountant to prepare the returns for myself and my small part-time business. I have recommended TurboTax to some of my friends who are involved in the same business as I am and they are comfortable using it also.
What's great about it: Links to clear explanations of each question
What's not so great: None I can think of

Flexible Reliability

Turbotax provides a good blend of detailed hand-holding for the novice while allowing more experienced preparers to walk through the various areas with relative ease. Good diagnostics help identify inconsistencies and guide correction.
I've used MacInTax/Turbotax since 1989 and have no intention of switching.
What's great about it: Many Options Available
What's not so great: Not always easy to find "source" doc in forms
