I have been using turbo tax since my CPA retired in 2003. So I have used turbo tax for ten years. Very Satisfied
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: A Little Complicated when correcting actual forms

A smooth ride

Fix RMD inquiry for a long running pension (monthly payment) from a qualified plan
What's great about it: Minimized need for inputing data from prior years; helped with pulling up amounts that could be caried forward
What's not so great: Asked if my pension was an RMD -- should have recognized that many prior years it was a qualified plan

Been using since MacInTax days in late 70's. Still best was to go, thorough and reliable
What's great about it: brings forward last year - won't miss something
What's not so great: Hard to get specific tax info - IRS rules

TurboTax does great!

I found that this program seems to improve by making it easier each of the three years that I have used it. It is generally easy to use, although I think at time it might be made even easier for some of us that don't use a lot of computer programs. Although this may seem too simple just tell us to put our cursor on the review or other highlighted tab and click. Or, perhaps I missed it, give a short demonstration of how to cruise through the program.
What's great about it: Over-all easy to follow instructions, seems to be thorough

Still good but no longer great

I have used Tubor Tax for a dozen years and wouldn't consider doing my taxes without it. It is still a great tool for taxes but not as clear or as easy to use as in previous years.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, very good computations
What's not so great: Not as easy to understand or as clear as in previous years

Nothing better

Have used TurboTax for many, many years and have seen nothing better. I am sure there have been many improvements over the years, but it does become inconvenient to have to adjust to significant format changes every year. Today I efiled my Federal return and plan to mail my state return. After I did the efiling TurboTax said I was done and took me to this survey. I have not been able to get back to print what I need to file my state return which I will do when I have completed the survy. Not happy about that.
What's great about it: Easy to follow; handles most issues; great community forum
What's not so great: Sometimes difficult to go back

I have two businesses and my wife and I file a joint return. It was very easy to follow to guide and complete my return in a short period of time.

granddaughter is 20 and lives with mother, attends college full time. I tried to change status to "head of Household" but could not change it. It came up ineligible but never asked if she was attending college. I ended up downloading from IRS site and doing her taxes manually.
What's not so great: could not change filing status for daughter-in-laws taxes
