Need improvement on answering questions - found a lot of questions NEVER BEEN ANSWERED which some where most needed to be (I myself already have 2). Some topics better to have more detail on how to find the figures and how to calculating them. Neither calling numbers nor live chat for contact Professionals as stated.
What's great about it: A lots of Related Topics and posted when updated
What's not so great: A lots of unanswered questions and No Contact Number to reach PROFESSIONAL
Pros: I bought or sold investments

helps me prepare for next year

The thing I like best about TurboTax is that it prompts me for everything. I don't have to worry about whether I've gotten every deduction I could. I love those "oh yeah" moments when it reminds me of a receipt I have filed away somewhere besides in my "taxes" file. I also like that it automatically populates carryovers from previous years. It's just one less thing I have to worry about remembering. I've been using TurboTax for many years and it has definitely helped me become more aware of what records I should be keeping throughout the year.
What's great about it: TurboTax asks questions I never would have thought of.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

stuck in a perpetual loop

When I got to the end, going to file my review, there was an error in a number for MN business number. I had entered mn99999999. instead all i need was to enter 99999999. It wouldn't allow me to change it there, but wouldn't let me go further either....a loop began....

Frustrating, puzzling -- cross my fingers and hope

This happened frequently at other times, but always after TT updates the program would not return me to the precise page that I had bee working on when I left it.
Also, if it needed info from several previous years, it did not show me the result when in EasyStep mode. The software needs to be more open about telling what it is doing and why.
And most troublesome, when I reviewed the printed file, it appeared that the information was not transferred correctly from Schedule J to the appropriate line in Form 1040..
What's great about it: Imports records from most financial organizations
What's not so great: Doesn't go back to where I left off. I think there is an error in Sch.J vs 1040
