When filing dividend income, I correct type(Joint, Taxpayer, spouse) I type in and correct numerous times the correct choice, then when it comes to file, the soft ware automatically change back to taxpayer in 6 rows I enter, that increase my tax significantly.
How do I correct it in order to file?
Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's not so great: soft ware problem in Iowa state Tax
This product was awesome, it saved me a lot of time and aggrevation doing my taxes myself with the security of knowing Turbo Tax has the resources and know-how to get my job done!!
What's great about it: Easy to use and helpful instructions
What's not so great: None
Pros: I had a baby, I moved, I bought or sold investments
I have used Turbo Tax for years. It simplifies getting my taxes done. I like the way you can go through it step by step, and if you have questions, help is just a click away. I like not needing to order and read through several IRS publications before doing my taxes. Turbo tax puts it all in one place, and in language we all can understand. My biggest problem is gathering up all the documents I need to justify my deductions. I will continue to use Turbo tax in the future, and I will and have recommended it to people I know.
What's great about it: Easy and informative
What's not so great: Some parts are a little confusing, but the help explains them.
The package was especially efficient this year. Although I had to enter the info new this time around, the package made it easy to do so. Thanks very much!
overall great product, second year I used it and love it. confused on how to best manage mistake or adding an amendment. Also, text communication, where the online info reflects that all has been accepted successful, yet I get a message that state info was rejected?
Not sure where to go with this and no link to obtain further information or details.
What's great about it: details, guidelines, options
What's not so great: confused when I needed to amend state refund that already has been submitted
Knowledge of the Code is required for more obscure forms such as 1116, taxability of state tax refunds, Schedule D adjustments, bond premium amortization, adjustments to state AGI additions, adjustments and deduction adjustments. The software handles all well at the forms level, if one knows where to go. On balance very competent, but to reap full advantage of the Code one must know it.
What's great about it: All forms for most taxpayers available, straightforward if simple return
What's not so great: Forces complying with interview format and omits finer detail which could result in both higher income and higher deduct
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
