taxes torture me!!

Regarding the schedule C, and 1099's and such regarding our consulting business, it seems every year I have to go back and look for where to insert certain expenses or deductions . Ive done it enough now that I at least have an idea of whats missing or what I have to go searching for, but if I were doing this for the first time, it would seem that there is a possibility of omitting important information. The order of the prompts sometimes seems wrong, the questions end up having me move ahead or skipping a section. Also, I have difficulty moving ahead to do some entries, when I don't have all the figures for a certain section . . as when I was deciding how I was going to claim business use of my vehicle. I could not go forward until I filled in mileage, when I wasn't even sure which method I was going to use to claim use of my vehicle. (Hard to explain, I guess!) You improve the set up every year, but somehow, I still feel like a big mistake could be made and I might not catch it.
What's great about it: Glad to get it done myself! Help section is very HELPFUL
What's not so great: Every year I have a problem with my schedule C, I somehow skip parts that your program should be guiding me through

We've been using this product since 1999, very please with it.
Every year its easier and better, and it will be even better if a category added for continue education expenses for those careers that required to update their education in addition to their professional licenses renewal which often involved tuition, traveling and lodging, We've been listing ours in the business travel category, but not quite the same, need a place for tuition entry yet not same as college tuition etc. Thanks for your attention.

Really takes the pain out of tax time

Another great year with TurboTax. We wouldn't think of preparing for taxes without it!
What's great about it: Let's me know where I am all the way through and prompts so we don't miss deductions.

What's great about it: Finished in two sittings
What's not so great: Paying any tax at all
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Have used TT for more than 10 years and have been able to file completely and timely with all calculations accurate. However, every year there are some issues of not being able to go back after entering in the step by step method. It is necessary to go to the form and over ride an entry. Would prefer to be able to redo a section completely. Also, seems to get slower every year.

What's not so great: Several areas, health care cost deduction on Schedule C, was not able to revise in step by step

Detailed Return!

Like detailed, step by step process. Some information embedded and a bit difficult to check, but it's probably accessibility if I knew the program better.
What's great about it: Handled two businesses, depreciation, asset options.
What's not so great: A little difficult to go back and make additions/corrections.

easy and confident

the program is extremely easy to use and flexible. you can go through each of the steps or go to the ones you want. When I was done I was confident the I knew I had gotten all the deduction I wanted and I could file exactly when I wanted to.

The only glitch I ran into was paying to file my state return.
I had to call in to get that fixed, but your people were wonderful.
