Turbo Tax 2013 Education Expenses

Married, self employed, 3 kids in college. Software needs overview before you start. College expenses were not clear. Automatic checking of different college expenses and deductions definitely saved me lots of money. Made TurboTax worth it.
What's great about it: Seemed to have more clear check boxes.
What's not so great: The room and board expenses were not clear.

We started using TurboTax more than five years ago after the tax preparer/CPA we had used missed a major deduction that cost us several hundred dollars on our return. For one-third the cost, TurboTax doesn't miss anything, is easy to use and files electronically. The hardest part of preparing our taxes now is finding the various receipts we've rat-holed away during the year.
What's great about it: Step by step, good explanations, help available
What's not so great: Can't think of any

Year after year, the best!

I've been using Turbo Tax for many years and have come to depend on it for all my tax filing, federal and state. I trust the whole process and feel confident that the returns are accurate and thorough.
What's great about it: Ease of use and trust the whole process from start to finish.
What's not so great: Having to pay for the state efiling.

I just like the Turbo Tax attitude. Laid back and easy going. Makes tax time a tiny bit more enjoyable.
What's great about it: Easy and fast, not boring
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Thought - make it easier to figure out how the Easy Steps process relates to the lines on the 1040. For each easy step state something like - equals line ### on form. For each form line show the Easy Step it relates to.
What's great about it: I've done my own taxes for years and Turbo tax literally saves me a couple days work over a complete manual process.
