Have used TT for more than 10 years and have been able to file completely and timely with all calculations accurate. However, every year there are some issues of not being able to go back after entering in the step by step method. It is necessary to go to the form and over ride an entry. Would prefer to be able to redo a section completely. Also, seems to get slower every year.
Intend to use again next year.
What's great about it: Straightforward and easy to use following the step by step method
What's not so great: Several areas, health care cost deduction on Schedule C, was not able to revise in step by step

Like detailed, step by step process. Some information embedded and a bit difficult to check, but it's probably accessibility if I knew the program better.
What's great about it: Handled two businesses, depreciation, asset options.
What's not so great: A little difficult to go back and make additions/corrections.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

the program is extremely easy to use and flexible. you can go through each of the steps or go to the ones you want. When I was done I was confident the I knew I had gotten all the deduction I wanted and I could file exactly when I wanted to.
I use turbo tax every year..
The only glitch I ran into was paying to file my state return.
I had to call in to get that fixed, but your people were wonderful.
What's great about it: program is easy to use and makes sure you don't miss a thing.
What's not so great: problem paying for state return
Pros: I bought or sold investments

make font to screen contrast higher. reduce mouse movement. make data boxes easier to see. make data override more intuitive.
What's great about it: accurate and saves me alot of reading instructions...does alot of form populating, saving time.
What's not so great: light fonts make reading hard. Too much mouse movement required for entry to cont
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Software has some glitches
on April 14, 2014

I have used Turbo Tax Small Business for 14 years, and am usually happy with it. Last year it had a problem with doubling up the Health Insurance portion paid from 1099R's, and I got a work around for it from the question and answer area. This year there was no form available yet for using sales tax instead of state withheld taxes in the interview portion of the Itemized deductions. I had to go to the form and fill in the data, and read what some other filer had said to use as a work around in the questions and answers area. Then it still reminded me at the end of the Fed tax interview that I still needed to get that form. Also, State of DE tax interview had an error that said there was no EMP ID number filled in on the W2's (we had no W2s), but the highlighted error that was flashing on the Worksheet area was requesting me to fill in my husbands date of death, but he is not dead! This also warned me at the end of the interview that I still had this error. For the most part the software is pretty good, but you really need to watch it closely and know a little about what is needed.
What's great about it: Carry over data from previous year is good
What's not so great: The state sales tax section in the itemized deductions portion of the interview was not available yet as of April 13!
