Easy as Always!

With high income, 2 rentals, investments, donations, and kids in college, it's daunting to start. TTax made it easey, once again.
What's great about it: Walks you through in as much level of detail as you'd like.
What's not so great: Printing steps are messed up this year; won't go to print; have to create, then open pdf first

Thorough and guided!

I have used TurboTax for four years now - I have two small businesses along with my wife and I both working for companies. I like that it imports as much information as possible from the previous year. I also like being able to try deductions from the business side and the personal side to see which is most beneficial.
What's great about it: The program walked me through every step.
What's not so great: Some of the questions need better explanations

TurboTax is my go-to tax prep software

I have been using TurboTax since it first came out. It has really simplified my tax return process, boiling a several day head scratching ordeal down to a three to four hour easy process (as easy as tax return completion can be, that is). I feel like I am getting every deduction possible, and it has an intuitive step-by-step process of assuring that happens.
I am extremely pleased with this software. It really gets better year after year. They really pursue user feedback, and do everything they can to improve an already great product.

This is the last year I will use your software

All was going well until the near to end. Was inundated with ads, and cheap unprofessional gimmicks to get peoples money. I will not recommend your software or your website simply because you take the art of taxes down to a lower level than I have ever seen. If I could have given you a 1/10 star I would have. R

Better way to go

Complexities and advantages of listing two, separate, vice one, combined, Long-Term Care Insurance policies for Colorado Tax Credit was not explained. With research and analysis, I found the correct entry method.
Overall, pleased with TurboTax; I've been using it for over 10 years, back to when it was MacInTax from Intuit. Loyalty speaks volumes.

I would like to see it automatically calculate how much of my donations are not allowed on this tax yr and carry them over for the following tax yr when they may finally be used.
What's not so great: Does not track carry overs from yr to yr

I was very confusing to e file with all additional info at every click. It did not work to pay audit insurance with credit card. I had to sign in but could not get out of the screen. Then I timed out very quickly. On my 2nd try the program told me I had to paper file.
I think I tried about 4 times before I could e file correctly. And I did not mentioned that my info was lost after the first try and I had to re-input my info.. I have used turbo tax for a dozen years and this year and last none of the previous years info transferred over. I also like to know how to contact you if I have IRS trouble.
