Usually very good but really let me down this year

I do taxes for my girlfriend and her parents. She is a student and has been claimed on her parents' tax return for years. I have never had a problem with it - until this year.
I entered all her info, checking the box that says she will be claimed on someone else's tax return. Finished hers and E-filed her federal return.
Then I entered her parent's info - got to the deductions and found out she can't be claimed on their return!! Simple issue that would prevent her from being claimed on anyone's return - she made too much money. The cap is now $3900, which is either new or lower than last year because she made more than this amount and was eligible to be claimed on their return.
A simple warning of this fact would have saved me many hours of work! PLUS, after redoing her return and then doing an AMENDED return for fed, I found that I could not E-file it. Grrr - this was so frustrating. The bulk of her return is now tied up in an Amended return which will add time I am sure, to the processing of it by the IRS.
SO EASY - just have a pop up tell me that she can't be claimed on someone else's return!
I think I will research tax programs for 2014. This is inexcusable.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Needs warnings for items that CANNOT happen!
Even if the state e-file had been included I probably would not have used it. Entered that we were filing a joint return but turbotax put some of the info in separate forms.
What's great about it: includes fed e-file
What's not so great: Does not include state e-file
Great product support. I had to call a rep. because the return kept disappearing. She helped me tremendously as I thought I had lost all of my work. She helped retrieve it and was sooooo pleasant to work with. Thanks ! The personal service is greatly appreciated.
What's great about it: Easy, step-by-step approach,
