I've been using turbo tax from the very first time it was available - many, many years ago. Great program. I will continue to use it until I no longer have to file taxes (hopefully I'll be in heaven)!

I have used Turbo Tax for the past 12 years and have experience of other software--

State Return

I think the software this year wasn't up to snuff. It keeps trying to sell a FL state tax return. Previous years didn't have this problem. Also the software got stuck on the review cycle and continually circled back to analysis after summary. It seemed like it was being persistent on selling the audit product and state product this year. This could easy confuse anyone who just started using the product this year. I've used it over 10 years and even I had to double check everything.
What's great about it: Easy
What's not so great: Get stuck on review and insisted on filing a FL state return

TT Home & Business

I own a commercial fishing business and have been using TT Home & Business to complete my taxes. This is an excellent product and very easy to use. The questions asked make it easy for me to complete Schedule C as well as assets and depreciation. I'll be using TT products in the future.
What's great about it: ease of use, e-file capability

A real bargain!

We've use TurboTax for years and really like the ease of use. We are still spending far less on tax prep costs than we did 15 years ago and doing our taxes faster.
Our main complaint is the itemized charitable donations section. We wish the program saved the alpha sort. Keeping the list in order entered is difficult to maneuver. Also please add a button at the top of the list to enter a new charity. I hate having to scroll down to the bottom of the list every time to enter a new charity - either that or refresh the screen at the bottom not the top. This could be much easier to use!!!

The 2013 product was a substantial improvement over earlier years - or I am becoming more comfortable with TTax.
What's great about it: I have a Masters Degree in Computer Science but need to be spoon-fed on any instructions. Excellent logic sequence.
What's not so great: Yesterday I had 12 errors (you said). None today (I corrected nothing).???

Have always used TurboTax and enjoyed the fast returns and ease of doing taxes with the help of turbo tax at home
What's great about it: trustworthy
What's not so great: can be tedious but WAY less tedious than paper filing
