Turbo tax would be fantastic for those folks with just a w-2 and some deductions, but with a two rentals, two small businesses and two home offices, it's frustrating.
What's great about it: Simple
What's not so great: rehashes things you've already done if you only want to correct one thing
Pros: I moved, I had a baby, I bought or sold investments

Amazing

I've used Turbotax for 10 yrs now. Every year I wonder whether I should hire an accountant to do my taxes for me, to see if they'd save me any money. However, until last year, I never wanted to fork out $500 to do the experiment. Last year I did, and also did my taxes myself to compare and Turbotax found more deductions. I even had the accountant review the taxes I'd prepared via Turbotax to make sure it was all correct and legitimate and they acknowledged that I seemed to do better with the far less expensive Turbotax program. So appreciative for this program!
What's great about it: easy, saves info year to year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Made my filing easy

As always Turbo Tax made my filing easy. I purchased the Business turbo it walked me through all my deductions
What's great about it: the questions help me walk through my return
What's not so great: added forms I didnt need
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Why I love TurboTax

I did my taxes in one afternoon including watching three movies at the same time. I went back the next evening and modified the return. I slept on it and then E-Filed the next afternoon. Every year TurboTax has gotten easier to use and it was good ten years ago. Thank you.
What's great about it: You have made the IRS define the same answer for everyone.
What's not so great: You don't give it away

I have use Turbo tax for 10 or more years . I love it , it is easy and it goes step by step for you if you need to . We have rental properties and it keeps up with the depreciation and deductions from previous years. I recommed it to my friends and I do some tax returns for my family members.

I just completed my first year as a small business owner and Turbo Tax made filing less intimidating. The import capabilities are a real time saver. And I appreciate the links that further explain the topic and since I am new to buisiness filing, this helped to clarify.
