2013 turbo tax experience

I opened a small business this year and was a bit overwhelmed after trying to read all the Pub. and Schedules on the IRS website. I figured I would try Turbo-Tax especially because all my friends love it. I must agree that it was fun going through all the details. I loved it! I need to go through step by step and try and understand some of the deductions and depreciations. I thought it was fairly simple and I found out where I need to keep better records for next year to make it even easier.
What's great about it: Helped me a great deal figure out my small business tranactions
What's not so great: Can't think of any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
Overall good but TT asks the same questions several times in different sections. If you didn't know better you might be taking the same deduction or making the same payment twice.
What's great about it: Goes over all the information
What's not so great: Asks the same questions several times
I/ve been a user o TurboTax for years - I have seen the variation year after year and the continue improvement makes it easier to work with it and much more secure to keep your information safe.
For me it works smoothly and I think it would be very hard for me to change it!
My computer crashed during the 2013 year, thinking that I saved my files to a backup drive I was safe! Nope, turbo tax claims it can import from its own PDF created from the year before, nope! Save your tax file! Not just the PDF.
What's great about it: Program was easy to use as always
What's not so great: Make sure you don't delete your xxxx.taxfile
Using the tool now since inception the walk thru versus manual is good. As I changed I needed to grow up so you let me do that with the show me versus DIY.
I missed on some revenue in 2011 and so paid big fines this year and I don't know how to amend the state return before they catch that error. Not clear how to use this as a defensive tool.
What's great about it: Easy and intuitive
What's not so great: Getting more complex but that means more money back so not a con
