Submission issues.

Generally the program worked great. The e-file at the end was very problematic. It took six times of downloading updates and exiting and reopening the file before it would pass by the validation step.
What's great about it: This year seems a little more user friendly
What's not so great: E-file took six tries due to updates

Turbo Tax Experience

I have used TurboTax for many, many years. I'm thoroughly pleased with the process.
It does not make a disorganized person organized. But it does help to make the process easy once you are organized.
Each year, I recommend everyone who mentions taxes to me, that I use TurboTax and I highly recommend the software.
I'm also a yearly subscriber, and it helps to keep me ready to go for the following year's taxes.
Thank you so much for all the attention to detail and making a very difficult chore painless.
What's great about it: As taxes go, seems like TurboTax gets easier and easier.
What's not so great: Advertisements within software that are a distractor when it comes tax time.

Simplifies my life

Having spent many years using high end cPA frims, it is a pleasure to utilize Turbo Tax to complete what I havepaid thousands of dollars for in the past. Less frustration in creating the documentation required. I estimated my business K-! prior to forwarding to the business accountant and will due it again next year with the data supplied, fully expecting to be able to complete the business return the following year.
What's great about it: walks me through step by step
What's not so great: having to pay to efile the first state return

TurboTax takes the sting out of doing your own taxes. Way better than paper, usually cheaper than a preparer.
What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance
What's not so great: Could have easier nav for going back to review or make changes. Also, would like to see keyword search to quick nav.

2014-04-14 Turbo Tax review

Having used TurboTax for the past 15 years, this edition is easily the most frustrating.
There are errors in handling a 1099R from a retirement account that is not an IRA. 2014 TurboTax treats the 1099R as if it were an IRA account and asks questions regarding a minimum required withdrawal.

The "Backup" frequently does not place one in the appropriate position going forward. This problem occurred in several places in the program

I really like the Turbo Tax Program, very easy to understand, have used it for 8 or 9 years now
What's great about it: the understanding of the questions
What's not so great: I cannot think of anything
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Everythink I Needed to Know

I've been a TurboTax user for many years and it just keeps getting better. It steps you through every little detail of the Federal and State return and even points out ways you can minimize your taxes in the future.
Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Step by step through the whole return with lots of explanation
What's not so great: Too many ads along the way
Pros: I bought or sold investments
