Keeping It Simple!

Love how TT takes the pain out of tax filings. Makes it quick and easy to complete, review and make sure I do it correctly.
What's great about it: Kept me on track by walking me through the return to completion.
What's not so great: All of the government requirements
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbotax is a timesaver

TurboTax makes it possible for me to do my own taxes because they provide the tax code knowledge that I don't have time to ferret out. It's both a money and time saver. It's a bit frustrating to use it for a married filing jointly with farm/ranch joint venture, but it's possible.
What's great about it: efficient information entry and time-saving tax guidance
What's not so great: Frustrating but functional for a married filing jointly with farm/ranch joint venture requiring schedule F.

All in all as every year a pretty stress free experience. Had some issues with where to put some things but in the end it worked.
What's great about it: easy
What's not so great: The term "free' needs to be more specfic -- thought it meant free filing for my state too.... not..

Turbo Tax Review

I highly recommend Turbo Tax due to it's thorough process and user friendly step by step program.
What's great about it: Step by step process, user friendly, can pay online.
What's not so great: Very detailed by not necessary a bad thing.

Difficult entries

Too many issues of not allowing to go back to revise entries. Wasted too much time and finally started a new return all over. Disappointed wit Intuit
What's great about it: Generally worked okay
What's not so great: Does not allow going back to Schedule C Health Deductions

CA State could be better, but still good software

The "California Adjustments" section for the CA State form didn't provide much guidance. I felt like I was left to sort all of those on my own. This is very different from the helpful approach of the Federal section.
Still, a reasonably good app.
What's great about it: Gets taxes done efficiently. eFiling is great.
What's not so great: The "California Adjustments" section for the CA State form didn't provide much guidance.
