Hard to e-file

Simple return for 90 yr. old mother was difficult to e-file.
What's great about it: E-file questions appropriate.
What's not so great: Program kept asking to download updates.

Great Experience, but a glitch....

Twice during the process of preparing my taxes, my husband's and my income somehow got switched by the program. I only entered it once at the beginning, so I know I didn't enter it incorrectly. We are both self-employed and our 1099 income was magically switched, which caused me a lot of grief trying to figure out what happened - the amount of tax we owed increased by several thousand dollars until I found the error and corrected it.
What's great about it: Easy to go back and forth between forms and interview. Easy to navigate topics. Liked the 2-year comparisons.
What's not so great: There was a glitch with my husband's income and my income.

Easy to use

Second year I have used Turbo Tax, it is very user friendly and goes through the tax returns step by step asking questions so you don't miss anything. REcommended
What's great about it: Intuitive, thought provocing
What's not so great: Could use a preview of questions in the categories

Saved my bacon

Overall a great experience. The time saved when dealing with stock sales/dividends, capital gains, home business,IRAs, retirement income, social security, etc. etc. is immeasurable. I've spent many, many years prior to Turbo Tax, doing them longhand. There is just no comparison with the time, effort and accuracy. I've used Turbo Tax now for the past nearly 20 years...there's no turning back.
What's great about it: The step by step approach is a great catchall.
What's not so great: Especially in the stock/bond/fund sales and dividends/interest area I'd like to see less industry jargon

What a relief!

The Home/Business program is excellent. I own a small business that I operate out of my home office. It so easy to use whether you go through the program on your own or use the guidance the program offers I prefer the guided program that way I don't miss anything! I have been using TurboTax since 2009 and it just gets better with each year.
What's great about it: I like the guidance through the program.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
