Overall I'm very happy with Turbo Tax. I have used it now for 10 years, and it makes doing my tax return much easier, and more accurate than some preparers I've used in the past.
I highly recommend it. It's really helpful with the integration of the "It's Deductible" online program to import that information right into my tax return.
What's great about it: The walk through format is great, just answer the questions
What's not so great: Some areas need to be tweaked regarding business deductions
First could not access site. Attempting to "log on" forever. Finally saw a post from someone to use safari or google chrome instead of internet explorer. That worked just fine. I have used Turbo Tax for years and find it to be the most comprehensive and easiest product to use. I do taxes for a small home business along with personal and TurboTax makes it as easy as possible. The questions are easy to understand and to answer correctly. I can always flag something when I'm on a roll and come back to it when I take time to look up several things at one time.
What's great about it: I like the options, walk through or find it, forms or questions.
What's not so great: No way to enter interest not paid with 1099INT
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
I've used TurboTax for many years. This year everything went so smoothly that I was surprised when I reached the end of the state return. All the pieces of the puzzle fell right into place and I felt a big weight lift from my shoulders as another year's taxes were complete. Thanks Intuit for another painless experience with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to use, no-nonsense, does exactly what it's supposed to do.
What's not so great: It's easy to use software for an insanely complex income tax code.
Ive been useing turbo tax for years, with automatic information transfer from prior years returns, it seems simpler each year, I have two busineses plus personal taxes, it would be a nightmare to rely on a tax prep co.
What's great about it: Simple and self explanitory
Twice I lost updates that I had performed because I failed to save the file. In prior years Turbo Tax would always prompt saving the file before closing the program.
What's great about it: Step by Step approach
What's not so great: System did not always prompt to same return when closing the program.
