Allowed me to work at my pace

TurboTax allows me to handle my taxes by myself, with the reliability of a professional's background
What's great about it: I was able to enter estimates, then change amounts when I received the proper forms.
What's not so great: Changing between subjects is a bit difficult. It would be nice if I were returned to where I was when I edited an item.

Filing your own taxes is totally doable!

I've been using this software program to file my taxes for a few years now, and while filing taxes is never a "fun" thing, this program makes filing my own taxes possible. It's a good feeling when I am able to complete the task successfully.
What's great about it: this program is worded very simply for the ease of use by the average person
What's not so great: it is very hard to find an answer to specific questions you have without contacting a customer service line for a fee

I have been doing this for quite some number of years now and while at first it was a little confusing I found that if you take your time and don't jump ahead if you don't have all the data it is best. Stop, gather the missing data then continue works all the time.. I should say that later this month I will be 73 years young
What's great about it: Overall I like the quesionnaire technique
What's not so great: none

Turbo Tax makes it less painful

Turbo Tax Home and Business makes a daunting process so much easier. It takes care of all the details. Especially with Intuit partnering with employers and financial institutions, the transfer of information is instantaneous. It's great! I actually look forward to getting it done.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is so easy to use. It walks you through all the possibilities.
What's not so great: None

Disappointed

When I tried to e-file, an error message said I needed to check for updates and try again. I checked for updates, downloaded updates and tried again, and again, and again, and still got the same error message saying to check for updates. Will file by mail instead, but very disappointed this year.
What's great about it: Carried information forward from returns of previous years
What's not so great: Would not allow me to e-file.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
