Awesome Improvements!

Have used TurboTax for years now! Love the convenience and cost of the program and e-filing! 2013 software improvements made this year easier than ever, plus live telephone assistance from fast and friendly tax experts took the pain out of having to wait for long call-backs from previous years.
What's great about it: Easy to find tax answers and excellent and speedy customer service
What's not so great: Difficulty accessing software file (technical glitches in program)

YOU MUST PAY

Ive used turbo for ever and this is the first time I had to pay first. No matter what i did, it would not allow me to choose (take from my refund) or file electronically, UNTIL......I paid by credit card, then it worked. I'm really disappointed with you Turbo.
What's great about it: Good deductions
What's not so great: Won't work unless you fork over the money

EASE OF USE

I HAVE BEEN USING TURBO TAX FOR 10 YEARS AND LOVE HOW SIMPLE IT IS TO USE. I LIKE THAT EVERY YEAR IT GETS EASIER TO USE AND IT IMPORTS MY PREVIOUS RETURN TO MAKE THE PROCESS GO EVEN FASTER.
What's great about it: VERY EASY TO USE AND WALKS YOU THROUGH YOUR RETURN STEP BY STEP
What's not so great: NONE THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED

I have been using Turbo Tax for at least 6 years and love it.
What's great about it: easy to use
What's not so great: takes a while

My biggest problem the last three years has been getting the percentage of my home that I rent out reflected in the percentage of the expenses for my home. I rent 75% of my house (really), but I always end up manually figuring out the 75% of the expenses. TT doesn't get that right. Otherwise, it makes it very easy to calculate my business expenses, personal deductions, etc. Really saves me a ton of money by not having an accountant do my taxes. Now, I just have my final forms reviewed by an accountant.
What's great about it: Asks the right questions
What's not so great: Doesn't always work properly

Stock Transactions

It was difficult and time consuming to compare all my trades as the list in Turbo-tax was not alphabetical or in the same sequence as my brokers report. I had over 600 trades.
Provide an option to sort the trades or show them alphabetically so I can easily find them.
What's great about it: Auto loaded from Brokerage Firms
What's not so great: The Stock Trades are not in any sequence - Alphabetical

Overall very good product. Home office business deduction was difficult to manage.
What's great about it: walks you through and lots of opportunity to review
