SIMPLE FILING
on February 27, 2014

Everything was great, only drawback was after entering information each time, I was returned to the top of the summary, then would have to scroll down every time to select "next deduction" for example. A little bothersome
What's great about it: EASY GUIDE
What's not so great: MISGUIDED PROMPTS
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
As always, easy to use. I like the online help and found Turbo Tax response to missing/late forms and instructions on filing delays to be informative and helpful. Good product, fair price. I'm hooked.
What's great about it: easy to use, good online help, feel confident in my return accuracy
What's not so great: so detailed it seems to be a long process
I have been a customer of Turbo t since the early 90's. I have found the 2013 version much improved over previous years. Since I use Quickbooks the transfer of data makes the completion of the forms much easier. I highly recommend TurboTax to anyone doing their own taxes.
What's great about it: Very easy to use
What's not so great: I have no "cons" for the product
I had major problems updating the program after starting the return as I was not logged in as the administrator and it did not allow me to just sign in as administrator to update. I also had problems when it pulled my last years information when I did not use all of the same forms this year that I used last year.
I was finally able to complete the return after 3 attempts and was ready to use HR block and I am considering it for next year.
What's great about it: Does walk you through deductions
What's not so great: You have to be logged on as an administrator to update
We've used Turbo Tax for years and are very happy with the product. It's makes the process quickly and relatively painless. This year is the first time I noticed what appeared to be an error. It kept asking us to fill our Line 12 on Form 2106 which we'd already done. The number it was looking for appeared to be a percentage but Line 12 is asking for miles driven. We eventually were able to overcome the issue and move on.
What's great about it: Easy to use and walk through. very quick process
What's not so great: Seemed to be an error with Form 2106 Line 12
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
I've been using Turbo Tax for about 10 years now. This is the best iteration ever.
I absolutely did not have one issue, and my taxes are NOT simple! Small business, farming, two incomes, two IRA rollovers, a property sale & reinvestment...you get the idea. Of course, managing my daily finances with Quicken helped immensely. The import was perfect.
Thanks guys - you nailed it this year!
What's great about it: Ease of import from Quicken. Accuracy was wonderful, and software was glitch-free this year.
What's not so great: Nope. No "cons" this year.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
