Easy tax entry

We have used this tax software for many years. It has saved so much time, especially when we reenter the same data from the year before. Very easy to use.
What's great about it: Very quick to enter it all
What's not so great: Difficult to review tax forms without getting out of entry field

Tried a competitor and came back to Turbo Tax

Overall a great program. Tried a competitor a few years ago and Turbo Tax is definitely better.
A few issues, needed further explanations but they were not always available
Also, found that somehow the federal schedule C was created 3 times (2 were blank) and when I finished the state taxes, it kept erroring out because the 2 extra state schedule C's were blank. The federal taxes did not show an error for this. I was able to figure out the problem after a while but it was a pain.

It's great to be able to try things as a "what if" basis like if we should contribute to an IRA before April 15th and see if that would change our taxes due.
What's great about it: Easy to follow
What's not so great: Needed more info in a few spots

Step by Step until Complete

I've used TurboTax for 10+ years. It's been a lifesaver and has saved me money in tax prep costs. I like being able to do this on my own schedule and resume the process if interrupted or run out of time in a sitting.
Despite using for so long it has become increasingly challenging to use the quicken/turbotax connection even though they are related products. Used to be able to use TT online but that ended, now Quicken upgrades can require you to recreate data files there is some data degradation possibility that is hard to find.
Wish you could purchase federal/state filing as well as tax return completion in one bundle.
What's great about it: Hard to miss anything if you follow along
What's not so great: Harder than previously when importing from Quicken

Easy to use. Had rental property from 4 years ago. Bought new one last year, never rented, only rebuilt. They STILL got me MAX refund. So great.
What's great about it: ALL
What's not so great: NONE

TurboTax for Home & Business - Mac

Only compliant is that I found a bug in the Business deductions section of the interview where I had entered 0 for all common deductions, yet had $1541 listed on the summary. I had to go back through and clear every entry to 0 several times to get this to go away.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Has a bug in Business deductions
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax to the Max

I would recommend this to anyone. I am not a real computer person and I found the procedure very easy to understand.
What's great about it: I was overwhelmed with how easy this whole process was. Wish I had known this years earlier
What's not so great: Just a little time consuming, but that is understandable
