Not all bad

The 1099-R steps get a bit murkey around the MRD part for a non IRA/ Smple form. I hope there is no required MRD for a normal company retirement plan.
What's great about it: Very good step-by-step sequence.

Taxes Done Faster Than Ever

Each year I have had 2 or more very frustrating and unexplainable things happen to make my tax prep with Turbo Tax lengthy and miserable. NOT THIS YEAR! Everything seemed much clearer and more organized. I could take a personal expense value and move it to business as needed with no hick-ups! My only problem is as listed under CONS and that was minor. Thank you for your help each year!
What's great about it: Each section showed me what was entered last year and gave me guidance for this year. Especially like 'Explain This'!
What's not so great: Entered all vehicle questions for business and then was asked the same again in review.

Completing My Tax Ras Easy with Turbo Taxeturn W

Turbo Tax makes completing the forms and inputting info easy. There are always explanations for different items if you need them. They even provide additional info if needed. Turbo Tax also included a five history of my income and yaxes. E-filing was easy. I plan to use Turbo Tax next year as well.
What's great about it: Forms easy to complete. Explanations are available if you need them.
What's not so great: Didn't find any cons.

2013 federal filings

I have used Turbo Tax for years and this was the first time I had to file a paper copy of the return with the IRS.
What's great about it: Calculations were accurate and crosschecks were thorough
What's not so great: Electronic submission failed after three attempts.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very straight forward. Anyone can use this. You just have to try it!! Save some money do your own taxes.
