Always happy to get my taxes done myself so I understand what happened the year before.
What's great about it: the guide and explanations
What's not so great: don't provide all forms

Easy to Get Around

the bottom line is that it's simple to get around and has no calculations make. Great program, easy and fast.
What's great about it: The navigation of going back for mistakes you want to correct or things you want to fill in, is easy.
What's not so great: It doesn't fill in all the mistakes for you. For example, 0's where 0's should be.

Ok...but not Great

I liked Turbo Tax 2011...but Turbo Tax 2013 seems more cumbersome now! Going back and reviewing inputted information is difficult. There just seems to be an overall lack of satisfaction of feeling good about the report. For instance, inputting all of the brokerage info was very difficult as "category A" and "Box 1" information did not correspond to my 1099-B forms mailed to me by my brokerages! But, overall, Turbo Tax saves me a lot of time versus doing everything by hand...so I am definitely grateful to Intuit for that, thanks guys!!!!!!!

What's not so great: The programming is sloppy...I could have written a better program in high school!!!!!!...no exaggeration!

Schedule K-1

Please review the procedure in the area of entering the data for Schedules K-1. There were many customers asking questions but not getting help. I have used Turbo Tax for many years and was very satisfied. However this year out of frustration, I had to file my taxes by mail!
What's great about it: Most investments were easy to enter the data.
What's not so great: After many hours of trial and error along with no help, I finally filed my taxes by mail.

Excellent and user friendly software. Anybody can use this. No one need pay a tax preparer with this software.
What's great about it: User friendly
What's not so great: Perhaps keep a window pane available to see the return as it is being generated.

NICE SOFTWARE, BUT I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY TWICE. THE ADDITIONAL FILLING FEES SHOULD ALREADY BE INCLUDED :-(
