Easy!

I have been using Turbo Tax for 4 years. So easy, so reliable. You have to actually work hard to deliberately force a mistake. My returns go through easy, I get a good printout and my refunds come fast! What is there to complain about?
What's great about it: walks you through or lets you do your own
What's not so great: none I can think of right now

cost me more this year

Save a lot of time down loading from previous year. I found it difficult to have program learn new changes from last year to this year. The program wanted to do the same as last year. was led to believe that I needed the home & business when I discovered I didn't. So spent $40 more than needed. Also I have deductions - memberships, travel, education - I couldn't find the place to put them. A little disappointed this time.
What's great about it: easy to down load from previous years
What's not so great: have known deductions I couldn't find a place for

Great product just need to fix the next button where at times it jumps two sections and someone could miss entering data
What's great about it: breaks areas down with help sections
What's not so great: sometimes when you click next it jumps two sections

Best way to file.

I have used Turbo Tax for as long as I can remember and have never had a problem. The program walks you through filing your taxes. This year was the first year I used the home and business, and I really like it because it seemed to cover all the possible deductions. The great thing is it transfers information from the previous year (I have four kids and I am glad I do not have to reenter each one each year). One thing I do regret is that I do not have Quicken, which could make things easier; this is a product I will need to look into. The other plus to the program is the explanations that it gives throughout the program to answer any questions you may have. So far I have not had to call anyone for help. The error checking is a definite plus! I always manage to forget something and the program seems to find it and to help me correct any mistakes I have made. Definitely the best thing on the market to do your taxes yourself!
What's great about it: Step-by-step guidance
What's not so great: Tax filing is long (not your fault)

Way Easier than I thought!

This is great! My tax person retired and told me to get turbotax and that I could do my own taxes. I was a bit uneasy but once I started I was thrilled! All the questions are asked - even down to the detail of charitable donations such as clothes, etc.! Super easy and there's help there if you need it. This is really the way to go - save money and do it yourself!
What's great about it: Walks you through it item by item
What's not so great: nothing!

Overall more difficult than previous years. The processing fee is unexpected and not appreciated. The purchase price of the DVD was always the only fee for filing in previous years with exception of maybe last year. Frankly, if we have to continue to pay a processing fee on top of the DVD price it may well behoove us to seek an alternative tax program in the future.
What's great about it: Enter returns from home
What's not so great: Unclear categories when entering, transmittal issues VERY frustrating, and electronic filing fees unexpected.
