Turbotax is a faithful yearly friend

Have been using Turbotax for about 16 years. It is a faithful yearly friend. I've never been audited, but purchase the audit protection anyway, just to make sure we are covered.
What's great about it: business expense section has a great guide
What's not so great: wish they would eliminate the state filing fee

I have used Turbo Tax for 4 years now. It has been easy and even though I owe money each year it's never as bad as I think it's going to be.
What's great about it: it's easy and user friendly
What's not so great: IRS is not a fun date.

Works for Fed and State, FAILS on local taxes

I've used TurboTax for almost 20 years, and it peaked in usability a few years ago. Today the interface is a bit slicker, but by now the eccentricities SHOULD have been ironed out.
Printing is a complete hassle. If you're like me, you live in mortal fear of picking up a stack of Fed, State and several municipality returns and trying to separate them without mixing up pages. The printing process helps out in no way whatsoever.
Ideally, you would be prompted to print each return individually, and not have to backtrack if you want to first print your filing copy and after that another "for your records". Mixing in the "save to computer" option only makes things worse, as you find you're "finished" without having printed ANYTHING on paper. There is a HUGE margin for improvement.
City taxes are another area where T.T. falls apart. I had multiple W2s for 2013, but only one of them had income that applied to a particular city, Pontiac, Michigan. By the time I had completed the "step-by-step" process, EVERY W2 had its income attributed to Pontiac, and I was expected to pay several hundreds of dollars in city tax, EVEN THOUGH the tax had been deducted from the appropriate employer before I was even paid. This information had been entered via the W2 entry, but was ignored by T.T.
I had to dig through the worksheets to find a simple little box that marked each employer "excluded" from city tax- a box that could easily have been taken care of by the step-by-step process. NOW I can get my $10 refund rather than pay $250 in unnecessary tax.
What's great about it: Federal and State work reasonably well
What's not so great: Printing is a convoluted mess, local tax programing is incomplete

Most items work really well and are easy to understand. Particularly like using it's deductible for in kind donation. Finding the location to enter information into form 1040 box 29 is entirely to difficult. I probably waited over an hour using on line help and then trying the results to finally locate where to put the information that was included in income on my w-2 from my S-corp. This really needs to be addressed as it has been a problem for the last 2 year.
What's great about it: Easy to use. The interviews for the most part worked well
What's not so great: 1040 Box 29 was entirely to hard to find the location to enter the amount

What's not so great: None

Overall good. I wasn't able to file my state return electronically - Mississippi - this year though. The state guidelines stated the need for a form on the federal side - 2106 - to match the form on the state side - 80-108. It seems the state software didn't recognize form 2106, which is included in the federal return, for my return. This discrepency prevented me from filing electronically.
I am disappointed. This is the first year I have not been able to file the state electronically.
What's great about it: clear instructions
What's not so great: unable to file my state return electronically

Very easy to use. I was able to properly list cancelled debt from our mortgage loan modification and use the correct exclusion to reduce tax liability for the debt cancellation.
What's great about it: Easy access to forms.
What's not so great: No free state E-File.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
