multiple State taxes

I was completing taxes which involved income from two states. Turbo Tax makes it difficult to complete the return without buying a second State program. I was eventually able to make adjustments and completed the second state on the state forms.but your system did not make it easy. Turbo Tax should allow that not every state for which a person has income, will use turbo tax to file the tax return.
What's great about it: Not much and cost too high
What's not so great: Turbo tax works

Great way to do the unpleasant and complex task of tax filing
What's great about it: Great to use-automatically brings up info from past returns as needed
What's not so great: none

My tax picture seems to get more complex every year, but Turbo Tax once again simplified the journey. It simply seems like a waste of money to hire a professional.
What's great about it: they really walk you through everything and you can go back as needed.
What's not so great: had troubles finding how to enter a form for capital gains taxes - 10-99S
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Better than a couple years ago

The TurboTax experience is much better than a few years back. There's still a couple bugs and gaps, so the TT execs need to continue investing $. I'd like see more information on the integration between Quicken and TT. Maybe it works, but Quicken isn't intuitive for simple stuff, so it's scary to automate the link to TT which still lacks my full confidence. Just map out the process, not a sales job.

Could be better. Error on transmitting returns. More details help questions.
What's great about it: Years past I have loved Turbo Tax
What's not so great: This year was disappointing. Would not transmit returns when I was ready.. Some error on Turbo tax end.

When it found errors it went to the tax forms and not the input form. hard to make corrections in some cases
