I do not like the changes ovdr the years. and the expense is not comparable to a tax person. I do not think I will use it next year.
What's great about it: no math errors
What's not so great: do ot like that it does not show actual tax form while working tax return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

It's done!

I would have given a hire rating however, there was a problem with my PA tax return and when I clicked on their button to fix it, it required me to update it as an already filed claim and it was NEVER filed, then it wouldn't make the correction, so it had to be deleted and completely redone. NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT or THAT I HAD TO PAY FOR MY STATE RETURN, that never went through in the first place and wouldn't make the correction. Live and Learn. I just hope they get the problem info that was sent and correct it for future people. Good luck!
What's great about it: click and answer and community q/a
What's not so great: Never received my free PA return with purschase

Have used TurboTax for years now, and will continue its use in the future as well.
Great product for completing this yearly necessary evil!
What's great about it: Simple, easy to understand, and quick.
What's not so great: Online chat would be good.

Frustration at one point!!!

It was fine after I decided to turn everything off including my Mac. and start over. Turbo Tax updated at that time again but this time it worked and everything except state tax went through. It was just easier to print out state and mail it. I will use TT again next year but I will be ready!!! I do think it is a great software but I didn't think about shutting down computer and opening it up again for the update. Now I know and glad it is all over. Thanks
What's great about it: Easy to go through all items
What's not so great: No matter how many times I updated it kept repeating message.

Great product - it gets better every year! My tax situation changed quite a bit due to professional and personal issues but Turbotax helped put all the pieces together. Highly recommend to everyone.
What's great about it: Informative, educational and great support
What's not so great: A few issues with updating some numbers
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

Excellent, but...

I found it confusing to enter the W2 form this year because what Turbo Tax said to enter from a box on the W2 did not conform with what was really on the W2. At the final review--after checking for all errors--it said that I had not put in 2 pieces of information from my W2. There was nothing in the boxes that it said I needed to transfer the info from and yet it would not allow me to continue until I put something. I had to go online and google the problem to even see what kind of info it was requesting. I did finally put what I thought it wanted; I just hope I put the right thing. This has never happened before; it was always easy to put in info requested.
What's great about it: Easy to use....usually. This year is an exception. But still good.
What's not so great: This year "Box" # on W2 & Turbo Tax didn't seem to match
