Eat your heart out, TaxACT...

I've used TurboTax for YEARS. This year I decided to give TaxACT a try because it is cheaper. What a nightmare! After finally getting all the way through it, which wasn't easy, I didn't have great confidence that I was getting my maximum refund. So, I decided to go back to TurboTax and do a comparison. Not only was using TurboTax faster and easier, thanks to the association with W-2 Express and It's Deductible, but my returns for both Federal and State were greater using TurboTax. Yeah... I'll never switch again.
What's great about it: Fastest, easiest, best tax product available.
What's not so great: None!

I like doing my taxes at home, with nicely printed forms. Sometimes I will recognize that a result is incorrect, and I find it difficult to go back & find where/what to correct. Also, I find it necessary to print screenshots so that I can go back to them later. When questions are answered, I do not have them available for later use. Overall, I have chosen TurboTax for years.
What's great about it: Keeps me organized
What's not so great: Can answer question incorrectly

I always use TurboTax.

I still like TurboTax, but it was really slow this year. Pages took several minutes to load, as in minutes not seconds. It was also glitchy in spots, didn't have the bugs worked out by February. For example, at one point it took me to a page wanting my education expense information and just kept chasing me around in circles because I had no education expenses. The back button was inoperable and it was annoying to say the least.
What's great about it: It is easy to use, I like the question and answer format.
What's not so great: 2013 edition was incredibly slow and glitchy.

2013 TurboTax Review

As a faithful (3-year) Turbo Tax user with a small business, I transitioned from having an accountant perform my taxes to doing it myself with confidence. A note: I have used bookkeeping software to catagorize business and personal expenses, thus organizing the data for entry into TurboTax. Thank you to the developers and programmers of TurboTax, I have been able to consistently able to get 5 digit returns (with charatable giving) over these last three (3) years.
What's great about it: The easy and detailed options at several areas in the program.
What's not so great: Only has the previous year's information.

Solid as ever

I've been using Turbo Tax for years and have always found it to be the right choice for our needs. The software is easy to use and has good help features as well as excellent support.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Not always easy to find the right form.
