Great refund!

i have used Turdbo Tax for over 10 years. I love that I can do this in my jammies. I even do my daughter's and my brother in law's.
I can't wait to buy it every year, and it goes on sale right after I buy it.
What's great about it: Quick review of filing with my child as dependant or not
What's not so great: printing creates a mess. Have to print specific forms separtely

Problem Installation

I was not pleased with the installation this year. It took several hours to determine what to fix so it would install, then I had to download patches so it would work. Once installed, it seemed to go fairly well, but every time one section was completed, it did not go to the next one, so I had to scroll through to determine what to do next. I had to go through multiple corrections because the software bypassed certain forms or boxes that were not asked for when inputing the figures and supporting data. I think TurboTax did a poor job for tax year 2013.
What's great about it: None
What's not so great: Had to obtain patches to be able to install

Love seeing the change in refund with every number

I would definitely recommend Turbo-tax to anyone.
What's great about it: Ease of entry
What's not so great: Last year I could have some review return. Not so this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

refund easy

10 yr turbotax customer. Nothing is easier for my home business and rental properties. Even though I didn't make any money this year in my home business, TT helped me take the allowable deductions. Thx and keep up the good products.
What's great about it: The process was made simple for all my business needs
What's not so great: Sometimes when you make changes, you need to answer all the basic questions again.

Each year I click the same answers, why can't last year's be my default for this year?
I'm under 18, which makes me ineligible for the Amazon gift card offer. THEN WHY EVEN ASK IF I WANT IT and have me fill out additional forms?
Thanks for the convenience of not needing to fill in tax forms from scratch, but why waste my time with the other issues?

Great Tax Tool

Great program, have been using it for years. I would like it to return to where I left off when I stop, close the program and the open it again.

What's not so great: When stopping the return, doesn't return to the place I stopped

Great for most situations...except....

Should be a bit easier to recognize rental properties and taxes paid on them. Seems to want to say to enter my rental property taxes as my home property. Should recognize I don't live there when it asked "Do you live here."
Other than that, the tickers help see what each entry does to your return so that it's easy to manage if it's worth entering things in.
The review is a great tool to spot errors. The audit risk indicator saved me some pains on putting in a deduction that didn't affect my return but boosted my audit risk.
Also can't complain about the guarantee.
What's great about it: Great for most filers
What's not so great: Not a great guide on rental properties
