It went well for us this Tax season especially with retirement and SS and the Deductions for business use of the home.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Overal review would give a 9. Area of interview needs to be speedier.

Always reliable

became a widow this year, learning to deal with estate and new business and lawyers, turbotax was one thing I COULD count on being able to figure out hot how to do by myself JUST LIKE ALWAYS!
What's great about it: been using it for 20 years

I am disappointed in the fact that this program does everything to encourage an electronic filing when I really wanted to mail in my state taxes.
What's great about it: Easy Format
What's not so great: Did NOT receive a free State File.

SIMPLE AND QUICK

I found the process quick and simple. It took less than 15 minutes to prepare the form usnig last years basic data.
What's great about it: RE-REVIEW BEFORE ACTUAL FINAL SUBMISSION
What's not so great: Help tab did not work well

Sometimes forms leave ghost and can't be deleted.

Early Concerns but Eventual Resolution

I have used Turbo Tax for many years. I never found it absolutely perfect but fairly user friendly. It seems to get a little better each year but it does make a few mistakes that I have to go back and correct. This year the software picked up some erroneous information from a 1098 form which required me to fill out an "explanation statement". I joined a chat session and after 2 hours of no resolution I was transferred to a CPA. He called me on the phone and gave me a higher comfort level that it would all work out. He assured me the form was only a worksheet and would not jeopardize my return. He was very helpful. I will continue to use Turbo Tax since I see nothing better available.
What's great about it: Simple language, good instructions
What's not so great: My version (Home and business CD) had a few issues with auto-fill on some forms.
