Good but Some Frustration

The over all experience was good. I feel that I found all the business information I needed to submit my taxes. When I submitted my federal return I inadvertently entered my AGI from the State return. On looking for help in undoing this I found nothing helpful on the help site. Many answers were wrong. I had to wait until the submission was rejected and then could resubmit the return with the correct AGI from 2012.
I will use Turbo Tax next year
What's great about it: Walked me through the tax process, Offered detail explanation when needed
What's not so great: Help system was frustrating and some answers were plain wrong

Highly recommended program that covers all common and uncommon Tax situations. Calculations are done for you.
Detailed schedules for you to refer to across subsequent years.
Updated tax breaks/laws. Extensive explanations to facilitate accurate filing.
What's great about it: Updated tax deductions, Detailed organization, Explanations of unfamiliar deductions/expenses/income
What's not so great: Editing requires going through entire subsystems

Where is my state return

Seems to me that I didn't understand how to fill out my state return. I thought I anwsered everything. What do I do now?
confused and waiting!
What's great about it: Very thorough but you left me wondering what happened to my state return

Smooth, Easy, Expensive

Easy to find, input, print; everything to make a disagreeable job easier to do. Clear short informative answers within each step of the program were very helpful - I didn't need to go outside of the information provided even once this year. Very well done.
What's great about it: Really easy to navigate.
What's not so great: Pricey.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love Turbo Tax! I have used it for many years. I find their customer service very helpful and the product itself flawless. There is a real assurance when purchasing audit defense as we do our own taxes.
All in all super product, people that gives is worth the money. (Which is cheaper than hiring an account!)
What's great about it: help with rejections for silly reasons
What's not so great: help center needed to print state only

Super In Person Support

Overall it TT was great. It definitely helped me with the hassle of what forms exactly do I need to fill out. Special thanks to online/in person support where I did screen share. It helps me explain to them where exactly I got hang up. They were able to pinpoint where I needed to go to solve the issue. On top of that, they did not leave me until the issue that I called was resolve. I was able to e-file. One suggestion I`d like to make is to return that smal screen where I would know where am I in the tax preparation process. At one point, when i could not get the answers I needed, it felt like that I was forwever in the Turbo Tax process.
What's great about it: I like the screen share portion. Shared the screen with TT expert shortened the time it took me to explain why I`m stuck
What's not so great: Not knowing the status of my tax prepration. The old form with small screen to let you know where you are will help.

Best in the West

Small business owner (sole proprietor) and have used T Tax Home and Business for 10 yrs without program problems. Everything is so complete and understandable that T Tax help has been used only one time and it resolved my problem promptly.
What's great about it: Leads one through all complexity. Doesn't waste time duplicating data entries. Enter once and it goes everwhere needed
What's not so great: Everything has to be downloaded and updated. Find a way so I can just buy a program and go.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Great until Filing Time

This rejection error doesn't make any sense, it rejected because my payment date wasn't the deadline. Though I submitted by the deadline, it waited a full day to tell me that one digit on the w2 was wrong. Then it got stuck in the endless loop of payment date can't be past due date, which it freaking has to be since it was rejected after the due date.
WHAT THE HECK DOES THIS MEAN?
"Your Federal Return Has Been Rejected
FPYMT-072-01 - If the return is received on or before the due date of the return, then the Requested Payment Date must be on the due date or before the due date."
What's great about it: the wizards are always clean and organized
What's not so great: E-File rejected for unknown reasons and didn't tell me until after deadline
