Things I never known about TurboTax. But now that am with TurboTax the best tax place online I known, Thank you TurboTax.
What's great about it: I like do hard work with lawn care.
What's not so great: I do not want to work hard work the rest of my life.

When purchasing this software, downloading it and imputing data it was unclear as to when and where to input info for a small family farm. I originally input data as a business but later found that I should not have as it is covered later in personal income on Sch. "C" Farm Income.... This should have been made more clear before taking the time to input data as a business. Software program was easy to use and helpful tutorial was great.(except for issue mentioned above. I would very much recommend this product to my friends and family. I look forward to using TurboTax next year for an even larger Refund.....MANY THANKS, ..... Steve4458
What's great about it: easy to read fonts and text,
What's not so great: help make last years info more accessesable as to a side by side chart.... not clear if small family farm is "business"

Still Working After All These Years

I've been using Turbo Tax products for 15 years. I like the Intuit feel because if you follow the prompts the program is intuitive.
I've used the Home Business and Rental package as well as the Business package for LLCs, Trusts and a C Corp.
I find the 1040 packages to be most intuitive. I've never found a form that was not available immediately.
I help friends and family with their returns using the program as well.
I really like the download features.
So I will keep buying the program.

What's great about it: Easy to use and helps you make sure you don't leave things out.
What's not so great: Sometimes questions are hard to find answers for.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

How to learn to further hate income taxes.

While I do appreciate how turbotax helps you figure out where to put things, unfortunately it's an epic fail for me this year. My 2012 return was filed late and as a result, Efile has failed 4 times for me already. Reason? apparently Turbotax automatically puts the prior year AGI in the efile and you CAN'T OVERRIDE it, but the IRS phone site tells me that I should be putting "0" in there. It also seems to indicate that I don't NEED an efile pin...
The muddled "help" is no help. Sigh. In fact, I suspect if I hadn't used Turbotax this year, I wouldn't be in this pickle!

quit clipping the taxpayer for the state return fee + a filing fee.

The program is very good and seems to be getting more intuitive. The process for importing income sources could be expanded.
What's great about it: Gets better each year
What's not so great: Need to improve test scenario ease of use for comparison

This is a great tool. I have been using it since before Intuit bought it. Each year it just gets better and easier to use.
What's great about it: Great prompts
What's not so great: Pricey
