Once I figured it out the numbers all fell into all the right areas and i was very pleased i didn't have to pay a cpa.
What's great about it: Bought deluxe home and office for form 982
What's not so great: somewhat hard to figure out. could use a tutorial
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

The detail involved in each step is easy to understand and very helpful. Going back a second time for review made us realize we had missed an entry and saved over $300!

What's not so great: nothing

Frequently lost info even after saved. Figuring where/how to place intellectual royalty income under Schedule E was a nightmare.
What's great about it: Easy calculations in categories
What's not so great: Prone to lose data
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Wish you would sit with real users to find out why TT is so frustrating to use. Too many times you have to go back and forth or over the same things. Error messages are sometimes not accurate.
What's great about it: easy stuff is easy to use
What's not so great: tough stuff is hard to use and there is too much wasted time

Easy To Use

TurboTax is easy to use and inexpensive compared to hiring a tax professional, such as a CPA. I have been using it for years and am pleased with the results.
What's great about it: Clear, simple, easy, good support
What's not so great: Always the nagging doubt that a pro may have found more deductions

I felt this was a great program. Was fun doing my taxes for the first time!
What's great about it: program was easy to use, understandable, like how it shows how much is owed, or refund amount each time data is entered
What's not so great: was not able to print a receipt after I filed my taxes.

Exhausted

Year to year continuity helped. Schedule C remained for some reason, A past reference to a business i have long ended remained and caused constant errors asking for business name and business code.for royalties received. When it was spotted in the California Review, it insisted that I had a LLC and my business needed a name and purpose. I chose to close the program and return to the Federal version, and it asked if I wanted to save the file. I didn't, and the information I had entered since last using the program was deleted. That was my error, but there was no indication that the whole days work would be lost. I did use the 'Turbo Tax community' thereafter, and the first response to the 'closed business' issue suggested that I delete the Schedule C altogether. All went swimmingly thereafter.
Finally, the entry for Deductions was tedious. It is logical, I agree, but it is not user-friendly. Someone needs to re-work the module. I would have liked to change the fornt size as well. Maybe there are system-based ways to change that, but I don't know them.
What's great about it: Year to year continuity
What's not so great: Confusing error messages
Pros: I bought or sold investments
