Worked great

Turbotax got it all done for me with minimum fuss. Still, it *is* software, so there's a few quirks that were annoying, but overall quite minor. Not being able to print the "you're filed!" page for my records, and having to go to TurboTax online when there was an cryptic entry needed on a business expense form (that should have been supported with context sensitive help within the program).
I've tried others, H&R as well as TaxAct. Turbotax remains the best!
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: Couple of annonying loops, inability to print page

It is a GREAT asset to the simple person and for the IRS, the complex...
What's great about it: Took me to where I needed to go
What's not so great: Some terms/language/abbreviations I did not know
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I know this program is excellent for small business owners, such as a family run LLC or sole proprietorship.
My only difficulties were: When importing from Quicken Home & Business, figuring out that I had to open Turbo Tax before I opened Quicken; and when entering and verifying the Form 8829, section IV Carryover of Unallowed Expenses. After entering the information, at a later point I wanted to go back and confirm I had entered the correct information. I couldn't get to the screen by going back/starting over. And the Find feature didn't work. I had to go to the form. But the good news is that I did have that option!
FYI, the questions below - yes, I have kids, but they are adults.
What's great about it: I really appreciate the bringing forward of our prior deprection information.
What's not so great: There continue to be some questions that once answered or passed over are difficult/impossible to go back and find.

Does the job A-OK

Been using it for years. Depend on it. Never had an error attributable directly to TurboTax. :)
Like access to online help and actual forms with my data filled in.
What's great about it: Handles my situation (full year foreign earned income)
What's not so great: After 1st pass recording Foreign Earned Income, adjusted for current exchange rates; new amount not changed everywhere.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

repeated efforts to file and repeated rejections because of apparent Turbotax processing error has led to penalty of $120.
What's great about it: Easy to use; trust to avoid audit
What's not so great: unable to file it seems to expect my 98 dependent mom to be dead

I wish I could figure out how to allocate income between Texas and Louisiana. The numbers they gave me in the Louisiana state return were numbers I had never see before. Did the best that I could, but oh well, hopefully I won;t have to worry about moving again.
What's not so great: Could not find clear explanation of how to allocate inclome between Texas and Lousiana
Pros: I moved
