Best Tax Software Ever- Period.

Turbo Tax is simply THE way to do your taxes. Not only do you get the peace of mind of doing your taxes yourself, you get the security of knowing that thousands of tax experts stand behind you because the smart, easy to use software guides you all the way. If you are like me it is hard to trust a stranger with your finances. Only you know the situations you were in last year, and only you can understand your filing system. The amount of time it would take to walk a stranger through it would likely be longer than doing it yourself. Turbo Tax empowers people like me- people who aren't good at bookkeeping, can barely do long division, and hate tedious paperwork. It does the impossible, it makes the most boring and tedious job bearable, and in some ways even kind of fun. I like learning about my deductions and having Turbo Taxes suggestions pop up and tell me what I could do next year to save even more money. It's near impossible to make mistakes with this user-friendly, obviously well-tested program. At every turn you might make an error Turbo Tax has already thought of that and is prepared with the appropriate warnings and solutions to ensure you get the maximum refund while staying 100% legit.
What's great about it: User-friendly, comprehensive, Easy to make changes, educational, smart design, stress-free
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Filing taxes made easy

Even when I had a question I was put through to someone who really knew the answers. I recommend Turbo Tax to everyone, unless their portfolio is so big it needs special handling.

Good product

I have used turbo tax for years. However, it only allows me to e-file five returns. By the time I do mine, my kids and my elderly moms, I can't efile MINE! They need to raise the limit to at least 7 or 10 would be better.
What's great about it: Handles all the business expeonses
What's not so great: Can only file 5 returns

Great for Most Everything

Almost everything is handled very well and straight forward. K-1 Partnerships continue to be a problem. Can't import all of the K-1 information and the program did not handle the sale of partnership interests. Created duplicate sales with the information provided by broker and had to manually adjust things to get the proper submittal.
What's great about it: Great for self employed and Rentals
What's not so great: K-1 Partnerships continue to be a weak area.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I had to complete repost last years information because it had not been save near the end.
What's great about it: Walk-throughs are mostly user friendly
What's not so great: Progam need sto Autosave after each section
