I've used Turbo Tax for years to prepare my returns for my personal taxes, my rental income and for my business. It 's great that I can do it ALL with one software purchase.
What's great about it: "Easy Peasy"
What's not so great: Cost keeps going up every year.....

Easy to Use and Never Challenged

I find it somewhat inconvenient when I use Intuit Rental Property Manager or Home and Business software and find that I can't just import the information for my business Schedule C's.
What's great about it: The step-by-step interview process eliminates confusion and the final review helps catch errors.
What's not so great: I can't import business information directly from Intuit home and business software.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Thorough and easy to follow instructions

Overall a good thorough Home and Business tax program that I have have used for over 18 years. It continues to improve every year with more info and easier to get answers or explanations. Plus recently adding a panel of experts to ask has helped very much.
What's great about it: Ability to inquire about various steps, obtaining reasoning and rationale.
What's not so great: One entry was correct but was not acknowledged. Spent considerable time getting it resolved.

T'Tax had trouble with my MA State return
on October 5, 2014
Posted by: CCC3rd
from Belmont, MA
TurboTax stated that I would not be able to file my MA state return (Form 1) electronically because I entered an "exclusion amount" for retirement-plan contributions previously taxed by Massachusetts; but when I told TurboTax to print my return for filing by mail, TurboTax said "You can still file electronically."
What's great about it: Mostly it went smoothly
What's not so great: TurboTax fumbled Form 1 line 4 and Schedule X
