I found it still very challenging to complete my K-1 information, especially the "other income" and "other expense" and foreign transaction information. Some, I seem to have to manually enter.

The final saving of the tax return allows you to save not only the filing copy but either some or all of the worksheets used to complete the tax return. Great !!!!
What's great about it: Great questions and walkthrough plus flexible print options
What's not so great: Sometimes the questions seem redundant

Turbo Tax is very efficient and easy to use. The software downloaded without any issues. The feature to download you W-2 form was wonderful, great! Love the feature to track the charitable donations!
What's great about it: Easy to understand questions, great guidance along the way. Seamless filing of a tax return.

Just a bit more info on the calculations would help. You do provide what is asked for and eligible as a deduction but then the calculation comes out differently. Example: Thefts I had to research on my own for why my loss from theft did not show up on my return. Answer: 10% of my adjusted gross income was larger than the loss. But I didn't know that until I went on Bing and printed out the corresponding Form which was then self explanatory.
What's great about it: Great to use and have done so for over 15 years.
What's not so great: I sometimes don't understand the calculations after entering my amounts

I like the feature of transferring the data from the previous year. I love the option of walking you through the tax return (for newbies) or letting you explore what you want (for experienced person).
I was a little confused about handling Futures contracts this year. It's an uncommon event, but it could have been explained a little better.
What's great about it: Getting easier to navigate each year
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I have been using Turbo Tax for several years and have found it to be a lifesaver in time and effort. It is very helpful in guiding you through the usual income tax issues and questions.
What's great about it: Remembers all of the information you put in last year which helps guide you through completion of the current year.
What's not so great: When you go back, it is sometimes necessary to reanswer the questions because they are blank.

This is a very user friendly software which takes a lot of the pain out of preparing complex tax returns.
The one area where the software was not helpful is in the inputs for Form 1116 relating to partnerships. The inputs require an allocation of US vs. Foreign income as well as the basis of assets broken out between domestic and foreign assets. This information is typically not provided on the K-1's that I receive. Hope that next year there could be some improvements/simplifications in this area.
What's great about it: Ability to import data from external providers and prior year's return
What's not so great: Could use some upgrades in the Partnerships, particularly for foreign tax credits
